Kiritsugu and company are wrapping up after the assault on their castle, and the Einzbern Master decides to ignore Saber's desire to pursue Caster, instead leaving on his own to finish off Kayneth. But Kayneth, after being saved by Lancer, has awakened to find himself bandaged and strapped to a bed. Sola-Ui explains the hopelessness of his current situation, and offers a shocking proposal.

Plot Summary

In Lancer's past, he remembers his leader, Fionn Mac Cumhaill, who is betrothed to Gráinne. The young woman notices Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, and the scene shifts between Diarmuid and Gráinne kissing and Diarmuid fighting knights while on the run from Gráinne's husband. When Diarmuid tells Gráinne that Fionn has accepted it, Diarmuid is seen dead on the ground. Suddenly, Kayneth wakes from his dream. Sola greets him, and Kayneth finds himself strapped to a medical bed. He asks what has happened, and Sola explains that all of Kayneth's magic circuits are destroyed. She explains that they are still in this war, and she asks Kayneth to give her the Command Seals. Kayneth explains that Lancer is hiding his true intentions. When Kayneth refuses, Sola starts to break Kayneth's pinkie. she tells him that she will remove her husband's right arm.

At Iris's location, Iris finishes healing Maiya, and she asks Saber to look after her as she heads over to Kiritsugu. Saber asks Iris to persuade Kiritsugu to prioritize Caster's execution. Kiritsugu decides to head off to stop Kayneth and tells Iris that saving a few children won't make a difference. Back to Kayneth's hideout, Sola tells Lancer that it's Kayneth's fault. She tells Lancer that she has the Command Seal, but Lancer states that he sword loyalty to Kayneth. When Sola wants Lancer to support her in claiming the Holy Grail, Lancer still refuses. Then, Sola states that the Holy Grail is only way to fully heal Kayneth. Lancer asks Sola if she is committed to helping Kayneth. Sola swears, and Lancer notices she has the same looks as Gráinne, and he feels fate is cruel to him. He longs to walk on the path of loyalty.

At Weaver's residence, Weaver finds Rider chatting with Glen. Later, Weaver analyzes one of the water samples by the river. he finds the location that has magical residues. Rider is amazed at Weaver's skills. Weaver reminds that Caster can still defend his territory, and Rider states that they can still do it. Through the sewer, Rider storms through the tentacle monsters with the Gordius Chariot. Weaver cannot see through the pitch darkness, and Rider tells him not to see. When Weaver throws a flare, he sees the atrocities of the murdered children. Rider states that he will defeat Caster while Weaver starts having a nervous breakdown. Rider intercepts a knife and kills two assassins. Then, multiple assassins surround Rider and Weaver. Rider tells his master to retreat because this location works to Assassin's strategy. Rider burns the place down. As they leave the place, Weaver looks gloomy. To cheer up his master, Rider pats him.

Meanwhile, Kirei informs Tokiomi what has happened. Tokiomi orders Kirei to put more Assassin to observe Rider in order to know about his Noble Phantasm.
