The lieutenant of the second division of the Gotei 13, under Soifon, hailing from a very wealthy family.
Often, and understandable, overshadowed and outclassed by his captain, Ōmaeda sports a considerable amount of strength and just enough speed and wit to put it to good use in battle. His Kido skills, however, are very poor, and in the fights he HAS participated in, he is either completely outmatched or seems very cowardly. For the most part, he appears to be more of a comedic character than any of the other lieutenants. His shikai takes the form of a chained, spiked wrecking ball, no doubt an ode to his emphasis on raw power.
