I'm a big fan of Legend Of Zelda, I have been since I was 5. So when I first heard there was a manga, I rushed to find one. I found Majora's Mask first, got it and read it and I felt disappointed. Why you ask? I'll tell you.
The beginning is pretty weird. Some crap about Link going to a castle to get training. It only lasts like 5 pages, and is no way important. Oh yeah, and Link talks. I can't blame them though, I imangine it would be a pain to make Link never talk. Anyway, Link leaves the castle on goes to find Navi after the events of OoT. Awesome...just like the game.
Then everything happens just like the game where link gets his horse stolen by Skullkid and he goes after him and becomes a Deku Scrub. He goes around Termina telling people that he's Link, but no one belives him. Then he hurts himself, and Anju finds him. Okay, this never happend in the game but I do enjoy how to introduced Anju, so I'm not gonna complain.
I'm not gonna say everything that happens cause a lot happens, so eventually Link goes to the Deku Palace, and as soon as Link talks to the king Odolwa crashes through the roof and starts fighting Link. Really? That's it? No dungeon? The first boss just comes? Great. As you can imangine now, all the chapters are like this. The skip the dungeon all together and just have the boss. Which Sucks because all the dungeons where awesome
So I'm gonna skip a lot here to the last boss fight against Twinmold, which is only one slash from Link. The fight begins with the last blow! Which sucks ever worse because the Twinmold fight was really cool.
So anyway the rest plays out mostly fine and staying true to the game except for the origin of the Deity Mask, but that's a bonus in the game so I'm not gonna complain. Overall, it's a very good manga but It fails at being a good adaption of Majora's Mask. I reccommend you read it, just remember, don't expect it to be a Majora's Mask manga or you'll be dissappointed.
