A small city with a population of 80 thousand people. The city's official tree is the Mountain Sakura and the city flower is the Bell flower. Maijima has two train stations. Maijima station is a traditional train station, while New maijima station is a high speed train station. However both stations connect directly to Narusawa, a larger city to the east of Maijima.
