If you were a detective, sent to investigate a wealthy suspect, what better disguise could there be than that of a super-moe maid? At least, that's apparently what detective Aoi Wakatsuki decides in the novels and subsequent manga adaptation of Maid Deka, written by Yuji Hayami.
Those novels are now being developed into a live-action TV drama starring Saki Fukuda, who Yatterman fans will recognize as Ai-chan in this year's movie adaptation. Fukuda also played the bullying Manami Anzai in the live-action version of the manga LIFE. Another interesting side-note: the show will allegedly be an homage to the three-movie series Sukeban Deka, also based on a manga and whose main character Saki Fukuda is said to have been named after. Tokyograph reports that the new series will start in July.
So, survey time. Let's pretend you're hiring a maid, and you have four applicants: a maid-robot, a maid-ninja, amaid-detective, and a plain ol' moe girl maid. Which would you hire?
