Mahō Sensei Negima! ~Mō Hitotsu no Sekai~ Extra Mahō Shōjo Yue is a special anime OVA episode. Yue Ayase is lost in the magical world with no memories due to a magical accident, but now trains to be a full witch at the Magical Acedemy City of Araidne.
Directly based on the Negima! manga series that was created by Ken Akamatsu. The series Negima! ~Magical Girl Yue~ is the fifth anime series of the Negima! franchise that is a spin off of the Negima! - Another World OVA. Themed on the the events of the Negima! manga from in Volume 22 & Volume 23.
It follows the story of Yue Ayase in the Magical World. After Fate attacked the magical portal gate that brought her and the rest of the Ala Albra to this realm. They were all cast to the many corners of the world. Yue hand landed in the country of Ostia just outside the limits of the Magical Academy City of Araidne, and in the path of a distracted Collet Farandole on broom. They crash into each other, and the consequences are that Yue has lost her memories. Too embarrassed to tell the whole truth. Collet takes Yue in and together they become friends as they attend the Araidne Academy together.
Production
The production of the anime was done for the Shaft company, who also created the second season of the Negima!? anime series.
The DVD was direct to market sale in Japan. They did not appear on regular TV broadcasts. It was originally packaged along with a special edition of Negima Volume 32.
Unlike the series Negima!?, that created it's own story that was only roughly based on the original manga. Negima! ~Magical Girl Yue~ follows the exact events of the manga.
