@Marshal Victory:

I haven't seen episode 5. It's strange that Crunchyroll has episode 4 as the latest episode.

Anime Vice is pretty strict on nudity not like Comic Vine. I have to contact Daniel and show him the picture of Paimon. Otherwise, we will only have her mug shot and not show her fully exposed breasts.

You guys were right to ask. In cases like these it comes down to a judgement call by a moderator, and I believe that character is a perfectly legitimate exception to the nudity rule. Also considering the fact that it's not censored on Crunchyroll or from what I've heard on television in Japan either (and it airs during the day) it's totally okay.

Hey taka, you might want to think about starting a Wiki Project thread for this show, looks like it's a pretty popular one.

@Daniel_Newton:

Oh yeah, it slipped my mind. Usually, I create wiki projects immediately when I have teammates. Since it's fall, most of us are in school, so I'm going commando on Magi and Btooom!. The summer wiki projects was massive, and I was lucky to have you guys as my teammates.

Oh damn, I forgot about Robotic;Notes. Acura_Max is my teammate on that project.

I can't remember, but one of you guys asked about Aladdin's gender or (like me) confuse Aladdin's gender due to the seiyuu.

Well, I found some of Shinobu Ohtaka's notes on Magi Tumblr. I was just going through of the images (mostly Yaoi) and made a rare find. I was bored and multitasking for some reason.

Originally, she had Aladdin, a girl. The sarashi was remnants from that original concept. I can imagine Magi a serious anime. The comedic version had some subtle dark undertones that reflects the war between rich and the poor, the mages and warriors, and countries.

Updated the videos. I couldn't find English subs for the ending. I'll find another one. I'm fixing the links and videos for other discussion and trailer threads. If there's a problem, please tell me. Thank you.

Finally, we get a whole episode for Morgiana. It was a fantastic one with Morgiana who finally broke free from her past and Jamil's tortures. Plus, the animation was spectacular when Morgiana beat down those tigers. There was some flaws since Sahsa and Leila did not have their original manga story of meeting Aladdin in the anime. Sahsa did allude to it, but fans who haven't read the manga are still left in the dark. I was curious about Leila and Sahsa and had to read the manga where basically Sahsa took Alibaba's role. Sahsa does look like the female version of Alibaba. If you compare episode 1 and chapter 1, it's pretty much a character swap. Though, we may never see how Aladdin helped Sahsa and Leila in the anime.

@takashichea: Was not i that asked about the gender.Tho in 7 i swear i hear a female doing the voice at times.Shows made the cross over to epic i think .It could snag the more mature veiwers of Fairytale as well as those who like a more bloody anime.Wonder what time its marketed for there?

@Marshal Victory:

I have a hard time understanding what you just said.

Female seiyuus (Romi Paku and Junko Takeuchi) that do Naruto Uzumaki and Edward Elric's voices sound manly enough that you didn't suspect the VA are women which is awesome.

For Aladdin, the seiyuu, Kaori Ishihara, didn't do well enough, and I keep referring Aladdin as a girl when I'm working on the wiki pages. In time, I got used to it.

Magi's audience

This is a tough one because it starts out innocent, but the manga series starts covering dark concepts such as slavery, war, and corruption that stems from the gap between the poor and the rich, countries, and normal humans and images. After reading the first few chapters, there was lot of bloody scenes.

Fairy Tail anime is known for its bloodless animation. I don't know why Hiro Mashima or the director did that. I say Magi is more mature than Fairy Tail because it covers dark concepts, shows violence, and does not hesitate to show some blood and nudity.

For audiences, I say 16 years and up despite how innocent and carefree this anime seems to be. For Fairy Tail, I think the age is 10 and up despite the fan service in the anime. It's rather tame because you don't have jiggling boobies or freaking panty shots like Highschool of the Dead or Queen's Blade.

That answered the question i had on Aladdins voice. An if i just had a nickle for every person who couldnt understand what i was saying..sigh the anime i could buy!

:) Sorry ill try be bit more clear.

The animaiton for Aladdins body language at times is more um girlish than boyish .Its good enuff tho not complaing.By episode 7 Magi crosses over to epic in my book.It now has all the materials to do grand big stories.Worlds established , we know what magic is, what magi are.Why dungeons apear .We even see some long term bad guys.

I was wondering tho what time do they broadcast it in Jappan.Is it Shown in a time slot to fit the audience or for a more mature veiwers as later at night would indicate?Reason i ask is it was on a list of anime people droped after the 1st show.Wondering if its geting aimed at the right viewers.

Also i agree on how ya veiw Fairytale an Magi. An no Magi is clearly not ecchi .Its not crossed that line .
