Overview

Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic is an anime adaptation of the original manga series created by Shinobu Ohtaka, it is produced by A-1 Pictures and began airing on October 7, 2012.

Licensing

For audiences outside of Japan, it is available legally on Crunchyroll for the following audiences: United States, Canada, and South Africa. Its simulcast airs every Wednesday at 10 AM Pacific Time starting on October 10, 2012.

Plot

It revolves around Aladdin who finds a magic flute that houses a Djinn (similar to a genie) named Ugo. However, Ugo cannot get free from the flute due to his muscular body. He appears as a headless monster. As the two travel the desert, they meet Alibaba, a greedy man who asks Aladdin and Ugo to help him retrieve treasure from a dungeon. As they encounter Morgiana, a female slave that they freed, and another djinn, they realized that they are destined to decide who can rule the world.

	Morgiana is a Fanalis and a former slave to Jamil. She has a dream of returning to her homeland because Aladdin and Alibaba freed her from slavery.
