This Franchise is made up of a light novel, a manga and an anime series all under the same name.
A light novel series written by Toshihiko Tsukiji and Illustrated by Eeji Komatsu that was released starting in October 2001 and is still on going, There has been one manga adaption written by Toshihiko Tsukiji and illustrated by Miki Myashita that was released between December of 2003 and December of 2004 and an anime adaption directed by Shinichiro Kimura that was released between October 2003 and April 2004.
Kazuki Shikimori, a second year student from an elite magic school, Aoi Academy. Unlike his classmates, Kazuki can only use his magic eight times before he turns to dust. As a result, he is at the bottom of the school's social pecking order.
Suddenly and out of no where he is being chased and propositioned by some of the most powerful girls in school. It turns out that while his spell count is nothing his children due to a long line of powerful magicians have the potential to be extremely powerful and with that bring great power to the family the child is born into.
This series follows Kazuki Shikimori as he fights off all of the sudden attention from these girls and also risk his self to save them.

The anime adaption titled Maburaho and directed by Shinichiro Kimura was released between October 14, 2003 and April 6, 2004. The series consisted of 24 episodes and was produced by J.C.Staff and broadcast by WOWOW in Japan.
