A psychic/flying type legendary Pokémon. It has the ability to control the weather based on it's mood.
Lugia is a legendary Pokémon that appears in the games Pokémon Gold and Silver. It is considered to be the guardian of the sea. It resides deep in the ocean floor. Many Pokémon fans call it Ho-Oh's counter opposite due it being on Pokémon Silver's cover and Ho-Oh being on Gold's cover. In both games history long ago in Ecruteak City, there were two towers, the Brass Tower and Tin Tower being the roost of Lugia and Ho-Oh. When the Brass Tower burned down, both Pokémon fled, never to be seen again. According to some considered the fourth Legendary Bird. Zapdos represents the element of thunder. Moltres represents the element of fire. Articuno represents the element of ice. Then Lugia represents the sea. It is said to create balance between the three Legendary Birds. Its feathers are not truly feathers but rather a hybrid between a feather and a fin as each so called feather possesses incredible speed when applied to a water current. Lugia spends most of its time at the bottom of the sea due to its tremendous power, which includes toppling houses by merely flapping its wings and the ability to start storms that can last for over forty days. It is usually seen near the beginning of storms and it often uses its wings to calm them.
