Do you remember the Lucky Star mikoshi, or portable shrine, that appeared in a festival in Washimiya-- home of the shrine that inspired the appearance of the one in Lucky Star --last year. Word is that the shrine is now going to be shipped to Shanghai for the Shanghai International Expo on May 1st.
Japan Probe also reports that this same expo has asked permission (or perhaps more accurately, forgiveness) to use a song by Japanese singer Mayo Okamoto-- which they had already given Chinese lyrics and had sung by Jackie Chan and other Chinese celebrities.
