Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière

Overview

Louise is the main heroine of The Familiar of Zero. She is the third daughter of the La Vallière family, who own the north-eastern territory of Tristain, and her father holds the title of Duke, which gives her a high rank of nobility. She is a second year student at the Tristain Academy of Magic, and is often called "Louise the Zero" due to her zero magical success rate, causing her to become very bitter. Her familiar is Saito Hiraga, whom she initially hates, but as the story progresses, she begins to grow fond of him.

It is revealed that Louise's inability to successfully cast magic based on any of the four basic attributes (Fire, Earth, Water and Wind) is due to the fact that her magical affinity lies with the rare and powerful Void. This is the reason that Saito is the Gandalfr, as they are meant to protect their master whilst the Void magic is being cast.

She gets extremely ticked off whenever Saito does anything that makes her angry such as flirting with other girls or just causing plain old mischief.
