Lord Boros is the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves.
Boros is the leader of a warrior race who lived on a planet noted for it's harsh environment. Approximately two decades before the main events of the story, Boros roamed the cosmos ravaging and laying waste to countless worlds in his ultimate goal to find an opponent worthy to fight him on equal grounds. During his cosmic travels, Boros encountered a prophet who predicted that one day, on a faraway world he would find the opponent he sought
Lord Boros was created by a mangaka who uses the pseudonym "ONE" for his webcomic One-Punch Man in 2009. In 2012, ONE was approached by Yusuke Murata to consider a collaboration between the two, and the One-Punch Man remake was the result. Lord Boros is a main antagonist in the series.
Boros' short time in the story has not given him any noteworthy evolution as of yet.
Lord Boros has a lean muscle build, and he have one Cyclopean eye, long pointy ears, and long spikey hair. Boros typically wears a suit of armor that contains his great power. When Boros removes his armor his whole body turns black and emits radiating energy all over his body. His single eye also inverts it's color scheme, the pupil becoming white and the white becoming black.
Due to his overwhelming power Lord Boros is very confident of himself who roams the galaxies to find an opponent to test he's strength. He lavishes in battle but only when he can utilize his true power.
Boros' has shown no special relationship with anyone thus far. The only thing he is interested in is a worthy opponent. For this reason it may not be a stretch to say that Saitama is his most important acquaintance.
Boros' star ship abruptly appears in A-City, hovering above it. Right away, he commanded his fleet of aliens to obliterate the city. Subsequently the whole city was reduced to wreckage aside from the Heroes Association building which was especially resistant to damage. His men then proceeded to invade the city, but were challenged by the S-class and some of the A-Class Heroes. Saitama who was present at an S-Class Hero meeting proceeded to exit the building, then leaped up to the spacecraft, breaking through it's hull as he did so.
After wandering around through the ship, effortlessly defeating everyone he came across, including Boros' top men, he finally came face to face with Boros himself. Boros explained himself actions to Saitama, stating that the reason he was wrecking the city was due to the prophecy he was told about meeting a worthy opponent. Saitama was not pleased and pummeled Boros, but shockingly, Boros not only survived but sustained almost no damage. However, Bros' limiting armor was ruined by the punch, removing the self induced limiter on Boros' power. It was now Boros' turn and he unleashed a series of brutal attacks on Saitama, eventually blowing him out of the massive ship. Despite the impressive display, Saitama was still barely fazed and was rather bored. An excited Boros eventually went all out to the point that he unleashed his Meteoric Burst punch on Saitama that was so strong, it launched Saitama off the planet, breaking through the escape gravity and crashing onto the surface of the moon. However, the uninjured Saitama simply launched himself from the moon back to Earth in almost an instant. He punched Boros and burst the latter's body apart, but Boros' regeneration kicked in and reformed his body. Lord Boros resorted to his greatest Trump Card, the Planet Buster Cannon. Saitama responded with his own Serious Punch. Their attacks clashed but Boros could not overpower Saitama and his attack was dispersed and he himself was rendered incapacitated and crippled. Nearly dead on the ground, Boros admitted his defeat and told Saitama that he was too strong and he knew he was not even trying the entire battle, despite Saitama saying that he had gone all out. Boros seemingly died thereafter.
Lord Boros is considered extremely powerful as seen with his fight par to par with Saitama due to his species living in harsh environment and their bodies needed to evolve to extreme levels in order to survive. Boros claimed that even among his own species, he was the greatest in overall power.
Boros' regenerative powers are immense and even among his own race, he claimed his was the greatest. It just seconds Boros can regrow a whole limb by concentrating. It isn't known if Boros can passively regenerate without focusing.
Boros has tremendous resilience. So far he is the only opponent that withstood a punch from Saitama. Furthermore he was not greatly injured and was in fact not at full power due to wearing his power sealing armor.
Boros has incredible speed and reflexes, the limit of which is unknown, but he is fast enough to land numerous blows on Saitama even when the likes of Genos who could outrun his own beams, could not even land a single hit on Saitama.
When Boros' armor is removed, his body automatically emits glowing energy. But he is capable of releasing powerful blasts of destructive force.
By channeling the power coursing through his body, Boros can concentrate it and release it as physical force in the form of a punch. So powerful was Meteoric Burst that Boros launched Saitama all the way to the moon in what seemed to be seconds.
Boros channels the immense energies eminating from his body and rather than channeling it into his fist like Meteoric Burst, he releases it all into a Giant Blast of energy. Boros claimed that it would level the entire surface of the planet, but it was overpowered by Saitama before being seen in full splendor.
