The island of Loguetown is the home to both the beginning and end of a bygone era. It is the very place there the Pirate King Gold Roger was born and where he was ultimately executed by the Marines following his capture.
The large island in East Blue that is known around the world as not only the birthplace of the legendary Pirate King Gold Roger, but the very place that he was executed, which promptly sent the world into the great age of pirates when he told the crowds who assembled at his execution that he had left his legendary treasure One Piece out for them to find. It is also home to a strong Marine presence, under the leadership of Captain Smoker.
Loguetown was originally created by Eiichiro Oda for use in the One Piece manga franchise. Loguetown first appeared in both One Piece: Volume One and in One Piece: Episode 47.
