Liz Ricarro is the hot headed Defender for Team Satomi.
Origin
Liz Ricarro was born in Puerto Rico in the year 2033. Liz was abandoned at birth for reasons unknown and spent her childhood growing up in an orphanage with most of her life spent alone as a result of no parents in her life. However, as time went on, she displayed talents in many fields from martial arts to mech racing. In one way or another, she caught the attention of Michiru Satomi who was putting Team Satomi together and needed a Defender. Liz jumped on board and raced with Takeshi Jin, Amy Stapleton, and Luca through the IG-3 and IG-2 to make it into the IG-1 for the 2049 season.Creation
Liz Ricarro was originally created by Koichi Mashimo for the six part mini-series entitled Immortal Grand Prix, which depicted her as a mech fighter, not a racer. The current character of Liz was developed by Michiru Hongo for the twenty-six episode anime that ran on Cartoon Network. She is voiced by Akeno Watanabe in the Japanese version. In the English mini-series, she was voiced by Kari Wahlgren and in the anime, by Michelle Rodriguez.
