Michiko and Hatchin run into a crazy old witch who tells them that Hiroshi is somewhere nearby. Though Hatchin is skeptical, Michiko seems to believe the witch enough that she buys a gemstone from her and gives it to Hatchin for protection.
Later, Michiko steals some brand new Jordans for her, but Hatchin feels guilty about accepting the gift. Rather than return the shoes, she decides to work as a waitress at the "Super-Fancy Chinese Resturant" in order to earn the money to pay for them. However, a young hoodlum steals her old shoes.
Meanwhile, Michiko stands in the middle of town with a sketch of her lover Hiroshi, hoping to find some more information on his whereabouts. Eventually, she finds someone who claims to recognize the face in the picture.
Michiko and Hatchin run into each other again when they happen to be searching through the same slums, with Michiko on the lookout for Hiroshi and Hatchin trying to get her old shoes back. The two of them finally find the house with the man who bares a strong resemblance to the face from the sketch, but Michiko scoffs that he is the wrong person and simply leaves. Hatchin soon follows her, but wonders if that man was really her father.
