A somewhat greedy magazine editor who exploits others' belief in the supernatural but is completely skeptical of such phenomenon
Ling-Ling is the assistant editor at the Yogekisha "monster-busting" company in Hong Kong. While their business is mostly in printing occult magazines, Yogekisha also offers monster-hunting and exorcism services. Despite this, Ling-Ling doesn't believe in the supernatural, but exploits others beliefs in the inexplicable for profits.
She first encounters Yakumo and Pai when they come to Yogekisha looking for Mr. Aguri, Ling-Ling's missing boss, who they believe has information that could help them become human. Although her boss doesn't return, Ling-Ling manages to help by unearthing his notes on the subject, which puts the trio on trail of the Statue of Humanity, one of 3x3 Eyes major artifacts. Their quest for this object in turn introduces them to the wealthy, but somewhat shady Song Li Huang, who becomes Yogekisha's financial backer.
Ling-Ling continues to assist Yakumo and Pai, often through providing information, though she occasionally becomes directly involved. Ling-Ling's skepticism is derived from her fairly pragmatic attitude, so that while she doesn't believe in spirits originally, she does once she's seen several monsters, as well as evidence of Yakumo's immortality.
She is also a skilled martial artist, handy with a gun and capable of flying a helicopter.
