Also, unlike many of the titles they're adding now (which are streaming-only, even if they do have higher-res versions for paid users), these two will have the episodes available for download-to-own for $1.99 each. No word on what the resolution or DRM will be on these videos; I have an e-mail out asking about it.
Also, in a recent e-mail to paid users, Crunchyroll's Shinji brought up the topic of materials that are US-only or everywhere-but-Japan-only, etc. He notes that the site is trying to get the absolute broadest availability for titles as possible, which varies depending on the title and the company they're dealing with.
To make it a bit easier, they've set up the Line-Up page to include where every title is watchable, so you can look up Galaxy Express 999 and find out that it's only available in North America, whereas Linebarrels of Iron is available everywhere except Japan and Singapore, and Naruto is kosher as long as you're not in Japan or France. (You can also see quite a few “Coming in January 2009” listings for titles due to be announced soon.) Fun times!
