Leija

Origin

Leija was a resident of the Fossilized Planet before it became fossilized and was one of the many citizens to become fossilized after being exposed to a toxic gas cloud that turned everything and everyone on the surface into stone.

Creation

Leija was designed and created by Leiji Matsumoto, creator of the popular Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock franchises, in collaboration with Shingo Araki and Shigeru Kogawa during the late 1970s.
