Leigharch

Origin

Leigharch is a professional getaway driver from the Black Lagoon anime/manga series. He's Irish with an accent to match and prefers to stay out of fights and away from gunfire. Though he's hopelessly addicted to drugs it doesn't affect his driving or the respect for his vehicle. Even when he has serious episodes he can keep control behind the wheel. In the anime series he smokes weed while in the manga he does harder substances like cocaine. On one occasion he's worked with Shenhua and knows her well enough to predict her mood swings when someone gets on her nerves.

By the Greenback Jane arc Shenhua says that Leigharch has gone overboard and fried his mind with substance abuse. Reportedly he's in an asylum watched by doctors.

Major Story Arcs

Goat, Jihad, Rock'N Roll

Leigharch's first appearance involves a job with Shenhua driving Lagoon Company to deliver important documents to a United States military base in the Philippines. He spends most of the job doing his drug of choice before going overboard when Revy talks them into rescuing Rock from Islamic extremists. High out of his mind and loose behind the wheel, he charges through enemy bases, jungles and blockades before reaching the destination.
