Last Order is a prequel to Final Fantasy VII, setting the events after Sephiroth's betrayal.

Last Order: Final Fantasy VII is a prequel to SquareEnix's (or Squaresoft) Final Fantasy VII, released on the first Playstation. Take note that Crisis Core is a prequel(or prelude) to Last Order, before Sephiroth's betrayal.  Last Order sets the events after Sephiroth's betrayal in Nibelheim, whom gone mad, onroute to Mt. Nibel to find "his mother". While Sephiroth has gone to Mt. Nibel, Zack helps Cloud as they reached Nibelheim, to rescue to remaining survivors and find Sephiroth. One of the survivors, was Tifa as she wanted to take vengeance against Sephiroth for killing her parents. As she rushes to Mt. Nibel where Sephiroth was, Zack chases her but was greeted by Shinra soldiers warning him to turn back. Tifa then finds Sephiroth but was defeated, as Zack rushes in, the Turks, under the command of Tseng, investigate both Zack and Cloud's background. As Sephiroth defeats Zack, Cloud runs in, finding the injured Tifa, stabbed Sephiroth and kicked him into the lifestream. Zack and Cloud was then ambushed by Turks whom taken them both into experiment.
