La Storia della Arcana Famiglia News

Hello everyone! My teammates, BigHeart711 and Sonata, and myself have some good news to report. Our little team wiki project is completed which only includes the episodes. For me, episodes are faster to complete than characters. Character pages are like swords which needs a lot of tempering.

The project began on July 7, 2012, and ended on September 16, 2012 as we finished the last episode's wiki page last Sunday. 12 weeks just gone by so fast for this series. My team and I are glad that it's over because of school and work are piling up.

Teammates

BigHeart711	BigHeart711 is a down to earth guy across the Whiskey Media communities and still remain in contact with folks even after the Whiskey Media schism. He's a video game lover, movie conoisseur, and an anime fan all in one big package. He got me into this anime with his trailer blog.
Sonata	Sonata is a long time RPG veteran who is a big comic book, college football, and anime fan as well as an avid hentai viewer with a wider variety of tastes. Look at his list of watched H list which boasts the most seen H stuff in this community. His favorite anime includes heavy fan service genre such as Queen's Blade and Ikkitousen.

Next Steps

1. Finishing Touches: The highest priority is to go over each episode to make sure the formatting is consistent: images for plot summary, misc sections, etc.
2. Another thing I messed up earlier is the accent marks. At first, I thought Felicità had an upward accent mark. Sonata and Daniel pointed out that it was pointed down when we look at HuneX's website. We just need to go through the episodes to add the right accent marks.
3. Minor characters: All we're missing is the elderly woman and the three maids who I haven't found the names for.
4. Characters and Concepts will be the last thing to finish. Though, we have to put it off for later.

Future Blogs

My teammates and I have a special blog to wrap up the series, so please check it out once we post it.

For Beginner Guide, I'll wait until a year or so to see if this anime gets a dub or a movie adaptation. Also, I have a cool idea for this series and its opposite series, Campione!, since Campione is a harem show with an Italian theme.

Sonata's Images

Sonata had a special job in this project, adding good fan art and making transparent PNG.

However, Daniel initiates a new image project where everyone is encouraged to make default images of 300 X 450 PX. Regardless, Sonata adapted to the change and made stellar character profile portraits for this project and other anime series.

Il Comandante della Squadra Protezinite Animali	Ep.2: Il Comandante della Squadra Protezinite Animali Felicità remembers the joy of her first day joining the family. But those memories are pushed aside when her thoughts turn back to the upcoming Arcana Duello. Check out the weekly report.
Piccolino	Ep. 3: Piccolino Piccolino is the annual children event held by the Family, Pace, Debito, and Luca discuss growing up together. Check out the weekly report.
Confessioni di una maschera	Ep. 4: Confessioni di una maschera Libertà memories of his child hood start to come back after trying to put out a fire. Which leads to a confrontation with his mentor Dante. Check out the weekly report.
Amiri d'infanzia	Ep. 5: Amiri d'infanzia Libertà is not the only one dealing with memories of the past. Nova who has been a part of the family since childhood, has never fully felt comfortable. Check out the weekly report.
A bordo! - La battaglia finale	Ep. 6: A bordo! - La battaglia finale Pirates have landed in Regalo Island and have kidnapped Nova’s father, Moreno. The family is told to wait but Nova, Libertà, and Felicità move to rescue Moreno without permission. Check out the weekly report.
Rispettivi segreti	Ep. 7: Rispettivi segreti Felicità has gone missing and none of the house staff can find her. Libertà and Nova have been tasked by Mama to find her and deliver a letter. Check out the weekly report.
La luna nel buio	Ep. 8: La luna nel buio Debito, Luca, and Pace have been friends since childhood and they all share a hatred for Jolly. Check out the weekly report.
La Ruota della Fortuna	Ep. 9: La Ruota della Fortuna Felicità finds her father sleeping due to excess work, and she questions Dante and Jolly about her father and homunculus in the tube. Check out the weekly report.
Arcana Famiglia	Ep. 10: Arcana Famiglia With the use of her 2nd arcana power, Felicità has lost memories. The family is distraught and the one who caused this mess might be the only person to fix it. Check out the weekly report.
Arcana Triangolo	Ep. 11: Arcana Trianglolo Felicità's bravery in using her powers has sparked other members of the family to come to term with their Arcana powers and prepare for the duel. Check out the weekly report.
Arcana Duello	Ep. 12: Arcana Duello The Arcana duello and to save Papa she must be a pick a lover. The duello will unleash everybody power and desire. Check out the weekly report.

Welcome to the last La Storia della Arcana Famiglia weekly report! 12 weeks has passed so quickly, and the series is all wrapped up. Let's goes over the episode.

Plot

The day of the Arcana Duello is here! Who will the winner and the new Papa or Donna (the female mafia boss) of the Arcana Famiglia? Be prepared for the season finale of La Storia della Arcana Famiglia!

Verdict

Beware of spoilers!

Good

Best yet predictable match

• We finally get the tournament and some action. Though, there's not much since Libertà and Nova's match along with Felicità's match with Mondo take up a lot of attention.
• For Libertà and Nova fans, you'll love this episode. Besides those two characters, Felicità gains some closure since she saves her father and restores everything back to normal. She has matured well throughout the series.
• For wiki, this is just me being weird. I got to see most of the stigmata except for Mondo and Elmo's. We'll never know what Elmo's Arcana Powers are unless you guys play the game or read the manga. Feel free to fill me in.

I hope to complete the Arcana Powers wiki page soon. I didn't expect Luca's stigmata to be on his tongue because I thought Debito's stigmata would be under his eyepatch or his tongue.

Bad

Don't cry Luca. You'll get some love

• Characters missing in action: For fans who love Jolly, Debito, Pace, or Luca, you'll be sad with their matches and low spotlight. This series just favored Libertà, Nova, and Felicità. Though, I felt that Jolly had a more significant role than the three guys due to his past and involvement with Arcana Powers. It's such a shame that we don't see their fights in detail.
• Unneeded flashbacks: We seen Libertà and Nova's flashbacks twice already. There's no need to play them again in this episode where we need to see new stuff and more action.

Bizarre

I expected more boom from Dante

• Debito and Luca's Arcana Powers are amazing. I thought Luca had a good chance because he pretty much nullifies other people's power. For Debito, he cheats with his powers.
• Why was Sumire fighting? There was nothing to gain for her.
• Weapons Match up: Even though most were swords, there were guns, a fan, knives, and a bazooka. I was stoked that Dante is using a bazooka, yet he misses Libertà. This means Dante is a bad shot. But, it's anime, so there's no logic.

Overall, this episode is fine and depends on you guys and gals. The action leaves a lot to be desired since you have flashbacks that stalled and were unneeded. A little action between Felicita and Debito, Pace, and Luca wouldn't hurt. The sword fight between Nova and Liberta is good but a bit mediocre. The best sword fight in the series was Dante and Liberta on the ship.

Wiki Progress: I finished Ep. 12, and I have to add the right accent mark to Felicità and Libertà's names for each episode. Also, I have to make sure the formatting is consistent. For characters and concepts, I have to put it off later, or my teammates will tend to them or not. I have other wiki projects with teammates that need attention since this series is done.

Plot

Welcome to the weekly La Storia della Arcana Famiglia! The show is winding down because the characters at the end of episode 11 talked about the last episode for next week. We'll talk about the good news and the bad ones later.

After Felicità regain all her memories, Nova and Libertà take her out on a mini vacation, a cruise ship. However, their little vacation gets ruined when Felicità falls over board. Later, everyone is preparing for the long awaited tournament, Arcana Duello.

Verdict

Beware of spoilers!

Good

• For you Libertà and Nova fans, you'll like this episode a lot because the two gain some closure with their pasts.
• By now, most of the Arcana Members have given us a demonstration of their Arcana Powers. The only few who hasn't shown us is Luca, Debito, and Elmo.

Bad

• 

  Not much happened
  For fans of other male interests, you'll hate this episode a lot. Looking back at the series, Nova and Libertà had the most attention given to them even though this is a reverse harem. Debito, Pace, and Luca had some flashbacks and background info, but it wasn't enough due to how short this series is.
• Last Minute Tournament: The anime had given most of us the false impression of cool battles. I was expecting a full blown tournament. Instead, we got filler-like episodes where they given us info about the characters. It's good for the visual novel games but not for the anime.

Overall, this episode just felt like another filler since we already know Liberta and Nova's pasts. Heck, not much happened in this episode. Finally, we get the Arcana Duello, but it's hosted in the last episode. I read reviews on the video game version, and the basic plot is the main female lead spends time knowing/ pursuing a character, and it ends with a tournament. That format doesn't adapt well for the anime. It was more of a Slice of Life show than action show.

Welcome to La Storia della Arcana Famiglia report!

Felicità lost her memories when she attempted to use her Wheel of Fortune powers to save her father. Jolly proposes to use his Arcana Powers to restore Felicità's memories, but the rest of the guys do not forgive Jolly. Will Felicità get her memories back.

Good

Jolly gets the spotlight

• Jolly fans will definitely love this episode. Plus, you get to see his Arcana Powers for the first time.
• Nova and Libertà are making big progress with their character development (more of Nova).

Bad

• I'm pretty worried about how they are going to end this since I think on ANN that they have 12 episodes. I wanted this series to last a bit longer because I got another Italian themed harem, Campione. Campione seems to have a long life span judging from the light novels. It's for a special blog that compares harem and reverse harem's attributes.
• For this episode, there's not much bad stuff that I can think of.

Overall, this episode is good and not slow or boring. We got somewhere in the plot, but the Arcana Duello may not appear. I'm hoping to see a good conclusion for this series since harem games based anime have multiple endings.
