An especially devastating offensive combination attack in the Kyotouryuu fighting style.

Overview

Shichika Hachiretsu combines seven attacks into one combination that rips the opponent apart in an instant:

  1. Kyouka Suigetsu, an open palm strike to the chest
  2. Kachou Fuugetsu, a finger jab to the pectorals
  3. Hyakka Ryouran, a knee to the chin
  4. Ryuuyoku Kakou, a punch to the chest that reverberates throughout the body
  5. Hika Rakyou, a double open palm strike to the chest
  6. Tenka Kinjou, a double karate chop near the rib cage
  7. Rakka Rouzeki, an overhead kick

The moves are executed at an incredibly high speed as demonstrated when Shichika completed the combo in less time than it took for a sword to drop to the ground from about 20-30 feet in the air. This combination attack was first used in Episode 1 of Katanagatari, "Plane, the Absolute", by Shichika Yasuri against Koumori Maniwa, who was impersonating Shichika at the time.

In episode 4, Nanami notes that there is a weakness to the move and in episode 7 she demonstrates this and exposes an opening in Ryuuyoku Kakou that leaves the attacker completely open for counterattack.
