Kurisu Makise

Origin

Kurisu is an 18-year old girl, originally appearing in the Xbox 360 video game as the main heroine.

In her early years Kurisu used to live with her parents, gaining her love of science from her father and his research. When she was still a small child, Kurisu read her father's academic papers, eventually enabling her to understand complex scientific theories.

She used to enjoy spending long hours debating with her father, however as her knowledge began to increase, Kurisu began to best her father in every single debate. As a result he began to despise her and grew jealous. Scorned by his peers and feeling inadequate he began to take his anger out on his family, severing all ties from his daughter.

Kurisu makes her first appearance in Akihabara Radio Hall, where Okabe Rintarou is attending a lecture on time travel theory. The two encounter each other, with Kurisu swearing they had talked only 15 minutes prior.

She is later found stabbed to death on the 4th floor, however with the sending of the first D-Mail, time splits and Kurisu's death is avoided in the Alpha Line.

RELATIONSHIPS

Okabe Rintarou has the habit of nicknaming her different things, including Christina (a pun - Kurisu is the way a Japanese person would pronounce the name Chris, it is likely that if the series gets an English dub she would get the latter as her name), Assistant and the Zombie (due to eating a gel-banana). She acts like a tsundere towards him and the way there relationship turns out is revealed above.

Mayuri Shiina's relationship with Kurisu could be classified as friendship. When she finds out about Mayuri's death in other realities and Okabe's failure to prevent them she offers him her help. Hashida Itaru mocks the relationship calling it 'yuri'.

Kurisu is an 18-year old girl with long, dark red hair. Her trademark outfit is made up of a white long-sleeved, fully buttoned up shirt, a red tie, khaki sweater, and a pair of black shorts. The sweater is always worn so that the back portion dangles below her back and is only kept from failing by a pair of belt-like accessories on the tops of her arms. The outfit is completed by a pair of black tights and ankle boots.

When in the future gadget lab conducting experiments, Kurisu will often wear a standard white lab coat in addition to her normal outfit.
