Knightmare Frames(KMFs) are the mechs exclusive to the Code Geass franchise.
The Knightmare Frames (ナイトメアフレーム, naitomea fureemu) are the mechs that are exclusive to the Code Geass series. Their full title is the Human Autonomous Automated Knights. They first appeared in the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Episode 1 "The Day a New Demon Was Born". It was created by Goro Taniguchi & Ichirou Ohkouchi, produced by Sunrise incorporated, the company famous for the popular Gundam series.
Unlike the Gundam mechs, where the robotics are built around the cockpit, the Knightmare's cockpit is attached to the mechanics from the back and is completely removable. This also allows the pilot to easily eject if needed.
The models are also drastically smaller. Some Gundams were at times seen to be the size of a five-story building or larger. Most KMFs are not larger than 5m (16.4 ft.).
The Knightmare Frame(KMF) was developed and used by the army of the Holy Britannian Empire. Used as bi-pedal, highly-mobile tanks. The power and maneuverability gave the Empire enough power to conquer much of the world. They were used in the initial invasion of Japan and were the key to an overwhelming victory. Japan holds the largest amount of the KMF energy source in the mineral called Sakuradite, a highly volatile element that serves as a major source of power. Going so far that Britannia mined the sacred Mt. Fuji.
The nation of Japan was then stripped of their name and re-dubbed Area 11, even the people were from then on called Elevens. After the seven years after the war was over. Certain factions in Japan eventually started to turn the power of the Knightmare Frames against the Britannian Empire, and began to develop their own. Some were more successful than others.
The first was the Japan Liberation Front (JLF) with the Burai model, and even some resistance groups were able to acquire older model Glasgows. Though the JLF would eventually be defeated, a group of resistance fighters created their own army called The Black Knights.
The Britannian Empire may of been years ahead in the development of KMFs. The Black Knights quickly caught up to the latest in generations to meet the Empire on even terms in battle.
Through the run of the two season of the initial anime series. There were only three KMF engineers and designers introduced by name. The first two are members of the Britannian Empire, and the last is an East-Indian member of the Black Knights.
Lloyd Asplund is a noble-born scientist for the Britannian Empire. A rather thin and eccentric man. He observes people as text subjects and components of devices. His development into the Lancelot prototype was funded by Schneizel el Britannia.
Cecile Croomy is a lovely member of the Irregulars class of the Britannian Empire. She works as the subordinate of Lloyd Asplund, and helps him in the maintenance and development of the Lancelot. She is a very kindhearted woman and serves to balance out the bluntness of Lloyd. She quickly bonds with Suzaku Kururugi, the Lancelot's pilot.
Though Rakshata Chawla is East-Indian born, see later joins the Black Knights to maintain her creation the Guren Mk-II, and would go on to develop even more KMFs for them. She's nearly as eccentric as Lloyd Asplund, and the two had once worked together in the past. The cause of their falling out is unknown.
The Yggdrasil Drive (ユグドラシルドライブ , Yugudorashiru Doraibu) the main source of power for the modern KMFs. This is a drastic improvement over the older fossil fueled models. It was this drive that is what made the KMF into the powerful threat they became. From then on, they were no longer limited in range from their power source. In each drive is a special Sakuradite core called the Core Luminous (コアルミナス , Koa Ruminasu). This distributes the energy that comes from the sakuratide Energy Filler (エナジーフィラー , enajii firaa). The core rotates within the drive and accelerates during heavy actions.
Every model of KMF has a form of Landspinners. These are attached to the Knightmares at the ankle joins of the models. For these heavy mechs, walking would be an awkward and taxing chore for prolonged periods of time. These wheeled extensions lower and propel the Knightmare Frame forward. This allows for steady aim while in motion and swift travel on the battlefield.
The placement of the Landspinners varies depending on the faction's design concept. The vast majority of the Knightmares created and designed by Britannia have their Landspinners attached to the outside ankle of the model. After the advent of the Guren Mk-II, the Knightmares of the Black Knights have their Landspinners builts into the inside of the leg joints and are concealed inside the legs while not in use.
On the KMF, all visual data for the internal rear cabin's displays are gathered through a device called a Factshpere. This information is gathered in real-time and displayed on the holographic panels on the inside of the cockpit, and aid in thermal and night vision. The Factsphere's are not always exposed and normally hidden withing the body of the Knightmare Frame, exposing it's self periodically to update. The number of Factspheres and locations varies depending on the model of KMF. Originally, all Factspheres used to be located in the head of the Knightmare Frames. That changed after the sixth and seventh-generation of Knightmares. They could be located in the chest or shoulder mounted.
The Slash Harken (スラッシュハーケン, Surasshuhāke) is a multi-purpose tool that can be found on nearly all model of KMFs in some form, but the numbers and locations tend to vary. Most of the early models had shoulder mounded Slash Harkens. Later models have them on the wrist and fingers. mounted It is essentially a launch-able and retractable harpoon. Serves as a renewable weapon that doesn't run out of ammo. Not only can it be used as a weapon. It can add to the position and maneuverability of troops. Scaling a building with the heavy mech becomes far faster. The speedy positioning of your forces can be a huge key to victory.
The Maser Vibration Swords (MVS) (エムブイエス, enu vii esu) are a later addition to the Knightmare Frame models, but the technology was introduce in some form to various future models. The first time these weapons were put into use was in the seventh-generation model of the Lancelot. The energy in these blades keep them in a high state of flux that allow them to cut through most any material with ease. It was during the first Black Rebellion that the MVS saw wider use when joined with the Gloucester.
Later advancements in the MVS weapons have created weapons for the Vincent Knightmare Frame. It did have duel MSV swords, but they could combine at the handle base to create a bladed spear.
The Katen Yaibatou is a specialized Knightmare Frame style of katana. it has a shape of katana sword, but the blade is lined with an energized chainsaw that can cut through most Knightmare Frame armor with ease. It's a popular weapon among the members of the Four Holy Swords members that were originally a part of the Japan Liberation Front then joined the Black Knights. It was first seen with the Burai Costums, but was also incorporated into the later models of the Gekka and Akatsuki.
Future models of the Katen Yaibatou were equipped to the Knightmare Frames of Kyoshiro Tohdoh. This version is called the Seidoutou. The first version had thrusters on the reverse side of the blade and a Slash Harken on the base of the sword.
The Float System (フロート システム, furooto shisutemu) was first used on the sixth-generation KMF, Gawain; but would later be mass produced in various form for other KMFs. This is more often an optional addition to command models and rarely added to many basic infantry levels. This allows the heavy Knightmares to float and fly in the air with even greater maneuverability then ever before.
The design of the float system depends on the faction who created the model of KMF. The Britannian forces use a very basic two wing design. While the Black Knights all deploy a four winged x-fighter style. The advantages of one over the other is unclear.
The Energy Wings (エナジー ウイング, enajii uingu) is the lastest advancement in Knightmare Frame airborne combat. The Energy Wings are the original concept design of Knightmare Frame engineer Cecile Croomy, assistant of Lloyd Asplund. The first practical application of the Energy Wings was on the seized Guren Flight Enabled from the Black Knights. The mechanical wings produce an energy construct of glowing feathers to appear similar to wings. Unlike the previous Float System, the Energy Wings require no additional thrust for forward momentum. Knightmares with the wings are capable of such incredible speed that they appear as little more than a blur. The wings can enclose around the Knightmare to act as a shield.
The Energy Wings were later a major component added to the Lancelot Albion. The Albion's Energy Wings were able to fire energy based projectiles. Likely, this was an advancement made since this Lancelot Albion was the second use of the wings.
The Ganymede Knightmare was an early prototype deigned by Dr. Einstein and manufactured by the Ashford Foundation. It's blue and white with gold accents. The crest of the Ashford Foundation is emblazoned on the frame. It's powered by fossil fuels and connected to it's power source through cables. This limits the distance it could travel. The original test pilot was the woman who would become one of the many brides of the Britannian Emperor, Marianne vi Britannia. After the assassination of Marianne, the Ashford Foundation also fell in status. The Ganymede never got past the prototype stages.
It's was being kept in storage at the Ashford Academy and used for special occasions, such as the annual school festival. Confiscated after Nina Einstein used it to create a failed fission bomb.

The Glasgow Knightmare is one of the earliest KMFs used for mass production of military grade. With the invention of the Yggdrasil Drive the dependence fossil fuels was removed. This frame played a major role in creating Britannian Empire into the conquering force it became and put fear in the rest of the world to try and develop their own versions of Knightmares. It has a cockpit system that has an ejection in the main Frame. This is one of the defining aspect as all the fourth-generation Knightmares. The armaments are two Slash Harkens mounted in the chest, duel stun tonfas, and a variety of optional weaponry.
Though, after years the Glasgow also came into use by rebels. This model was later advanced into the Knight Police and further upgraded to the Burai by Kyoto House.

This Knight Police Knightmare is an updated Glasgow, intended for special operations of the Britiannian Empire's police force. The paint design is blue on white with red accents, and police emergency lights. As the years went on and the developments of future Knightmare Frames, such as the Sutherland and Gloucester. The combat usefulness of Glasgow fell dramatically. Still, the combat abilities of this Knightmare Frame were a perfect match for the needs of the SWAT Forces of the Britannian Empire since acquiring a Knightmare was out of reach for many criminal syndicates. Not only used for special attack forces against heavily armed threats. They were also used during the recovering of victims after the attack in Narita.

The Portman Knightmare is a mass-produced frame of the Britannian Empire marine forces and is used for sea based missions. It's is the first amphibious frame that could transform into a small submarine to move freely within the water and approach enemy watercraft nearly undetected by the eye. These models were not designed for heavy combat with other frames. The Portman uses the it's Slash Harkens to easily board a vessel and has retractable hand claws for grasping objects. Similar to most other Knightmare Frames, it is equipped with Landspinners, but this is only for moving the Frames into positions of attacks. It's normally launched from Britannian Navy warships, but launch sites can be posted on river banks.
A Portman 2 model was developed, but no major advancements were added to the designs. The greatest change was in adding more turbines to allow for greater speed in the water.
Pilot: Britannian Empire
The Gun Ru Knightmare is a mass-produced Frame of the Chinese Federation infantry forces. It's mostly a Knightmare Frame in name only since it lacks a normal humanoid form. After the development and military implementation of the Glasgow by the Britannian Empire, the Chinese Federation rushed into constructing a deterrent mech to avoid an invasion from the Britannian world power. The answer was the TQ-19 Gun Ru. It's far larger than any standard Knightmare Frame. The domed cockpit gives the Gun-Ru a decidedly from-like appearance. It's moves through a three-wheeled Landspinner system. Two attached to the legs, and one on the tail for more stability. The cost for construction of one Gun-Ru is dramatically less than any other Knightmare. This allows the Gun-Ru greatest strength in sheer numbers, and able to over power many Knightmares.
The armaments are two retractable-machine guns mounded on the dome, and two cannons are mounted to the Frame's side.
Pilot: Chinese Federation
The MR-1 Knightmare is a noncombatant model of Frame with no offensive weaponry other than the basic Slash Harkens. It is classified as a civilian-class model and works as a transporter of heavy cargo. It is the most basic of Frame models, but it is equipped with a cockpit with an ejection launcher system for emergencies. The Landspinner system is slightly different than the military grade Knightmare Frames. The MR-1 has four Landspinners. Two attached at the legs, and two at each wrist. This is because the arms of the MR-1 can collapse in on themselves and it can transform into a vehicle form. This allows for easier storage and movements in warehouse settings.
A purple and yellow model of the MR-1 is used at the Ashford Academy after the Ganymede was confiscated by the Britannian Empire.
Pilot: Civilian Model / Kaname Ohgi / Gino Weinberg
The Sutherland Knightmare is a frame created as a mass-produced model for the Britannian Empire. The base design was after the Glasgow, but with major advancements in armor and mobility. Mostly used by the early advanced infantry. Within this model's generation there have been several mission specific types, such as the REVO-type and Pinpoint Breakthrough-type. The model was popular among the Britannian Purebloods. Their models were distinguished by the red shoulders and faceplate. Later in the development of Knightmares the lifespan was extended by adding a Float System.
A heavily modified version was crated by Lloyd Asplund and equipped with a float system. It was called Sutherland Air and piloted by Cecile Croomy to assist during the first Black Rebellion.
Pilot: Britannian Empire / Jeremiah Gottwald (red accents) / Villetta Nu (red accents) / Kewell Soresi (red accents) / Cecile Croomy (Sutherland Air)
The Gloucester Knigjtmare is another in the line of mass-produced models of Knightmare Frames for the Britannian Empire, and normally piloted by members of the royal guard or soldiers of high status. These Frames were a high advancement over the Sutherland model frames, touting superior mobility and armor. The Gloucester specializes in close combat and is more often equipped with a powerful lance. They are decorated with large capes that serve no real purpose in combat. It is a favorite model of the second princess of Britannia, Cornelia li Britannia; and her royal knights. Cornelia's model was the only special customized model with head decorations, a slightly different shaded paint job, and white cape.
This model was also used by the Glaston Knights. Their models had duel SSM (surface-to-surface missile) mounted at he shoulders.
Pilot: Britannian Empire / Cornelia li Britannia / Gilbert G.P. Guilford / Andreas Darlton / Glaston Knights
The Burai Knightmare is a mass-produced model that was constructed by the Kyoto House and was distributed to rebel forces against the Britannian Empire in Area 11. Most of the base design work is modeled after the earlier generation Glasgow. The specs of the frame were slightly modified for better handling, but what defined this more against the Glasgow were more aesthetic changes to have a more demon appearance and hand guards. the Burai was highly the main frame of use by the struggling Japan Liberation Front(JLF). It was later used by basic infantry of the Black Knights, but these models were mainly painted black.
A custom model was made by the Kyoto House for the members of the Four Holy Swords, but they were lost after the battle at Narita.
Pilot: Japanese Liberation Force (green & black) / Black Knights (black) / Lelouch Lamperouge (black, red, & gold crown) / Kallen Kozuki (red)
The Burai Customs Knightmares were five specially customized versions of the Burai used by the Japan Liberation Front and commissioned for use by the five members of the JLF's Four Holy Swords squad, led by Kyoshiro Tohdoh. Similar to the based model Burai, these were created using the technologies of the fourth-generation model Glasgows. The Kyoto House provided the Burai Customs for the Four Holy Swords after they were denied the Guren Mk-II. Each model was equipped with a Katen Yaibatou sword. The are nearly identical in appearance to the original Burai with the exception of the head decorations. These do not appear to serve any legitimate battle purpose. Four models were painted both black and olive, but one was given a lighter pale-green paint job. It was the piloted by Tohdoh.
They only appeared for once in a fight at the battle of Narita, where the JLF had been based at the time. With customization along with the exceptional piloting skills. The Burai Custom proved to be nearly equal with the more advanced Gloucesters. Sadly, once the battle was over the Burai Customs were lost by the Four Holy Swords and never seen again.
Pilot: Four Holy Swords / Kyoshiro Tohdoh (pale-green) / Nagisa Chiba / Shogo Asahina / Kosetsu Urabe / Ryogo Senba
The Gawain Knightmare is was a prototype Knightmare that was customized for the second prince of Britannia, Schneizel el Britannia. it was one of the first to be designed with a Float System as one of the original components, and it's cockpit was designed to house two passengers. One in charge of the weapons systems and the other piloting, but there is no ejection system. It has no Factsphere and the Landspinners were integrated within the leg joints. It's the only Britannian model with that feature. In the shoulders are twin Haldron Cannons. Originally, the power had not been stabilized, but after it was stolen by Lelouch and Kallen for the Black Knights. Rakshata Chawla refined the technology and was able to truly harness the power of the cannons. The Haldron Cannon's destructive power became on par with the Guren Mk-II's radiation-claw. This was through the use of her Gefjun Disturber technology. This had a side benefit of making the Gawain invisible to radar detection. The Gawain also was not designed with the basic Slash Harkens. Each of it's five fingers are miniature Slash Harkens.
The Gawain was destroyed in the fight with the Siegfried. C.C. was piloting and used the thrusters to force them both into the ocean. Many of the component were salvaged and used in the creation of a new Knightmare called the Shinkirou.
Pilot: Schneizel el Britannia / Lelouch Lamperouge / C.C.
The Lancelot Knightmare is one the the largest advancement in in KMF technology. It's a white KMF with gold accents and has the appearance of an armored knight. Sometimes called the White Knight or White-head. It was designed and manufactured as a prototype by Lloyd Asplund and assisted by Cécile Croomy. The project was funded by the second prince of Britannia, Schneizel el Britannia. The speed and maneuverability is unlike anything that had been seen at the time. One of the largest design flaws for this Knightmare is that the cockpit didn't have an eject system. The only pilot to ever draw out the highest level of potential of the Lancelot is the Japanese-Honorary Britannian Suzaku Kururugi. All others before him could hardly make it move. The Lancelot is the second KMF to be equipped with a Float System. It was after this that the Lancelot was re-designated as the Lancelot Air Cavalry. The Lancelot would be the progenitor for nearly all Britannian KMFs to follow.
PIlot: Suzaku Kururugi
The Guren Mk-II Knightmare is one of the deadliest ever to be conceived. It is the brainchild of East-Indian KMF engineer, Rakshata Chawla; and secretly constructed in Japan by the organization known as Kyoto House. It is painted crimson and the overall design is drastically different than any other KMF before it. The power and maneuverability is on par with the Lancelot. It makes use of a deadly radiation system that can be used as offensively and defensively. It's radiation claw can cause massive damage if it is to grab and opponent to cause a cascading wave of through the emitter to cause a self destruct. The pilot of the Guren Mk-II is the extremely gifted Japanese woman, Kallen Kozuki. The original radiation-wave claw was severely damaged after the fist Black Rebellion, but a three-claw spare was added later. With the Knightmare Frame's designer hiding out in the Chinese Republic. It was up to Kallen to maintain the Guren.
Pilot: Kallen Kozuki
The Gekka Knightmare is the first of the Knightmare frame generations that was developed for the Japanese forces not to be based originally on older Britannian models. such as the Burai being designed based on the Glasgow. The Gekka is a mass-produced Frame based on the Japanese Frame the Guren Mk-II and was part of the Black Knights forces. Only five models were made and piloted by the Four Holy Swords once they joined the Black Knights in the mission to rescue their commander. A custom model was provided to Commander Tohdoh with a black paint scheme and red decorations. It was the first Knightmare to use a mono-optic visual receptors. Similar to the Guren Mk-II, the Gekka has a single Slash Harken mounted in the chest plating and an arm mounted weapon. On the Gekka this is a high-powered auto rifle. The primary weapon on the Gekka is the favorite weapon of the Four Holy Swords members. A specialized katana called the Katen Yaibatou. The cutting power of these swords is powerful enough to cut through Knightmare armor.
Later, Kyoshiro Tohdoh was given a custom Katen Yaibatou called Seidoutou. This special model has a Slash Harken built into the hilt and thrusters on the blade to increase the cutting power and could be used tactically.
Pilot: Black Knights / Four Holy Swords / Kyoshiro Tohdoh (black) / Nagisa Chiba / Shogo Asahina / Kosetsu Urabe / Ryogo Senba
The Akatsuki Knightmare is a mass-produced Frame that was created specifically for the Black Knight's infantry in order to replace the standard Burai. Much of the technology was created based upon the original Gekka models. They were manufactured in India after the first attempt at the Black Rebellion had failed. The Akatsuki first appeared on the scene after the Black Knights fled Japan to the Chinese Federation and took part in the coup. It has a single chest-mounted Slash Harken, arm-mounted weapons, and a concealed machine gun built into the chest frame. While a Black Knights model of Float System can be attached. It is an optional addition.
This model is later customized for the commanders in the Black Knights to form the Akatsuki Command Model Zikisan for the Four Holy Swords and the custom Zangetsu for Kyoshiro Tohdoh.
Pilot: Black Knights / Kaname Ohgi / Shinichiro Tamaki
The Akatsuki Command Model Zikisan Knightmare used by the squad commanders of the Black Knights, and carries many of the same options as the base model. Similar to the Gekka Knightmare Frames, they share many of the same options, but are equipped with a standard Float System. They first appeared during the attempted coup in the Chinese Federation and push back of the Britannian Empire. Many of the pilots are from the surviving members of the Four Holy Swords. They are differentiated by the variant color schemes. A standard weapon on the Akatsuki is the Katen Yaibatou. Commander Tohdoh was given a personalized model Akatsuki named the Zangetsu.
Pilot: Nagisa Chiba / Shogo Asahina / C.C. (pink)
The Zangetsu Knightmare is the custom black/silver model of the base mass-produced Frame, the Akatsuki. It was designed and crated by the Black Knight's own Knightmare Frame designer Rakshata Chawla. It is piloted by Kyoshiro Tohdoh, and first took part in the mission of the coup in the Chinese Federation. Much of the designs were based on Commander Tohdoh's custom Gekka Knightmare Frame. It's similar in appearance to the Akatsuki Command Model Zikisan, but with a head crest; twin red-hair decorations, Gekka-styled armor, and a Seidoutou.
Pilot: Kyoshiro Tohdoh
The Gareth Knightmare is a mass-produced Knightmare Frame that was created for the Britannian Empire and based upon many of the designs from the hijacked prototype Gawain Knightmare, but the cockpit design was made to seat a single pilot. The Gareth is a highly mobile Frame that is loaded with offensive weapons. It contains eight Slash Harkens, missile launchers, duel shoulder-mounted triple barreled machine gun, and duel Haldron Cannons mounted at the arms. Due to the placement, this Knightmare Frame has no hands. It has a standard Float System that is also based upon the model of the Gawain. The Gareth became a popular among the Glaston Knights, and played a major role in the second Black Rebellion at the Tokyo Settlement. Most of them were destroyed after the launch of the F.L.E.I.J.A. weapon.
Pilot: Britannian Empire / Glaston Knights
The Vincent Knightmare is a prototype model based on the designs of the original Lancelot Knightmare Frame, and can match it in maneuverability. First appearing when the Black Knights reappeared at the Babel Tower in order to reclaim Lelouch. It's painted as gold, silver, and crimson-accents. The pilot, Rolo Lamperouge, was initially a part of the Britannian Empire and watch dog of the brainwashed Lelouch. He was later turned to Lelouch's side. After Rolo defected the Vincent was upgraded with a Black Knights model of Float System. Despite suffering massive damage, the Vincent was still used in combat missions due to Rolo's powerful Geass ability.
Though the prototype was lost to the Empire, they developed several mass produced models based on it's design. This included the Vincent Royal Guard, Vincent Ward, and Grausam Valkyrie Squad Vincent.
Pilot: Rolo Lamperouge
The Vincent Commander Model Knightmare is one of the first variants of the mass-produced prototype Vincent Knightmare Frame. This model's armor is painted as lavender with purple accents. Though the original Vincent was lost the the Britannian Empire. The designs were still held by the empire and much of the performance data. The Vincent Commander Model is mainly piloted by the elite forces of the Britannian army. The previous Knightmare Frame that was popular with this same group was the Gloucester. Some of the major advancements in design are the improvements made to the avionics systems and countermeasures against ECM and Gefjun Disruptor technologies. The main armaments of this Knightmare Frame are the two Slash Harkens mounted at each hip, Needle Blazers mounted at the forearms, two MVS lances, and optional assault rifle and grenade launchers.
Pilot: Britannian Empire / Gilbert G.P. Guilford
The Vincent Royal Guard Knightmare is one of the first variants of the mass-produced prototype Vincent Knightmare Frame. This model's armor is painted as forest-green with silver and gold accents. Though the original Vincent was lost the the Britannian Empire. The designs were still held by the empire and much of the performance data. The Vincent Royal Guard is mainly piloted by the high ranking members of the royal guard for the emperor of Britannian. One such pilot is Monica Kruszewski, Knight of Twelve.
Pilot: Britannian Empire / Monica Kruszewski
The Grausam Valkyrie Squad Vincent Knightmare is one of the first variants of the mass-produced prototype Vincent Knightmare Frame. This model's armor is painted as light-pink with silver and magenta accents. Though the original Vincent was lost the the Britannian Empire. The designs were still held by the empire and much of the performance data. The Grausam Valkyrie Squad Vincent is the main Knightmare Frame of the Valkyrie Squad, which are the direct subordinates Luciano Bradley, Knight of Ten. Some of the major advancements in design are the improvements made to the avionics systems and countermeasures against ECM and Gefjun Disruptor technologies. The main armaments of this Knightmare Frame are the two Slash Harkens mounted at each hip, Needle Blazers mounted at the forearms, and two MVS lances.
Despite all the main weapons of the Grausam Valkyrie Squad Vincent. the main form of attack has the four member Valkyrie Squad using their Slash Harkens to immobilized an enemy Knightmare Frame. This allows Luciano Bradley the time he needs to conduct his sadistic torment of his target. All four models were destroyed during the second Black Rebellion by Kallen Kozuki in the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Knightmare Frame.
Pilot: Valkyrie Squad
The Vincent Ward Knightmare is one of the mass-produced variants based on designs of the original prototype Vincent, but this particular model used what was learned from the previous other Vincent variants to refine the components. The most notable redesign change could be seen in the head redesign. This new Vincent Ward was developed for the Britannian military forces. It became a popular Frame for the front line troops of the Britannian Empire. This Knightmare uses the same twin Factsphere system built into the shoulders. One of the fuctions that was removed for this Vincent is the Needle Blazers built into the forearms. In there place the Frame was duel stun tonfas. Some of the main armaments are the two Slash Harkens attached at each hip, two MVS lances. and optional assault rifle, grenade launcher, or anti-personnel cannon. The Float System is an optional component as well.
Pilot: Britannian Empire
The Lancelot Frontier Knightmare is a specialized custom Frame. It is a pink colored model and created using scavenged parts from the original Lancelot, but with a standard Float System to the cockpit. The major difference is that this model was equipped with an ejection system. It was created for C.C. to pilot and so she could act as the shield of Emperor Lelouch. Many of the weapons are standard for the Lancelot, but it was also given a model of Knightmare Frame missile-launching shield that was equipped with the Percival Knightmare. The Lancelot Frontier only saw battle once during the last great war against the Britannian Empire. C.C. was up against the far more advanced Guren S.E.I.T.E.N., piloted by Kallen Kozuki; and all she could manage to do was slow Kallen down. The Lancelot Frontier was destroyed.
The Shen Hu Knightmare is a specializes Frame that was created along with and by the design team that created the Guren Mk-II, led by Rakshata Chawla. It's primary color is blue, with a golden faceplate, painted in a tiger-pattern; and red accents. The cockpit design was created with a more Britannian, sit upright form; and the Float System is of the same style as the Black Knights. Though constructed in India, it was given the Chinese Federation by the Maharaja. Despite the excellent pedigree of designers, no pilot was selected for over a year. This was due to the physical demands the Frame made upon the pilot's body. This was the largest design flaw the Shen Hu suffered from. So, it remained in storage. That changed during the Black Knight's coup, and Li Xingke took on the duties to pilot the Shen Hu after the kidnapping of the empress, Tian Zi. He joined the Black Knights when Zero was able to use this event to overthrow the corrupt Eunuchs.
The Slash Harkens design is fairly different than many other Knightmare Frames. They are formed as golden-darts attached to a golden-retractable cable. These are capable of transferring a powerful electrical charge when they ensnare a victim. They can also rotate at the wrist in order to form a shield. The most powerful weapon on the Shen Hu is the Baryon Cannon that is mounted in the chest of the Frame. It's power can nearly match that of the Haldron Cannon and the Guren's Radiation Surger. It's also equipeed with a short-sword stored near the shoulder.
Pilot: Li Xingke
The Panzer-Hummel Knightmare is a mass-produced Frame for the Euro-Universe(EU) forces. When the Britannian Force began to press and invade into it's own territory. The EU was hard pressed to create a mech force to attempt a counter against the powerful Knightmare Frames of the Britannian Empire. The EU's answer was the long-range combat model Mk-E2E8 Panzer-Hummel. It has a single seat cockpit equipped with an ejection system, and uses a six-wheeled Landspinner system with three wheels on each foot. The arrmaments are two hip-mounted Slash Harken, two rail gun cannons attached to each arm, and two machine guns mounted on each hips.
Though terribly out classed the Panzer-Hummel was able to hold off the initial forces of Britannian until the appearance of the Knight of the Round. The Panzer-Hummel were used to bolster the forces of the United Federated Nations(UFN).
The Lancelot Conquista Knightmare is the custom Frame that was created for the newly dubbed Knight of Seven, Suzaku Kururugi of the Britannian Army. This model is an advanced Knightmare Frames based upon the initial designs of the previous prototype Lancelot. Designed and manufactured by Lloyd Asplund and Cecile Croomy. On the previous Lancelot the Float System was an added component and was grossly inefficient in it's fuel consumption. For the Lancelot Conquista, the Float System is a standard addition and the issues with fuel efficiency were greatly improved through improvements on the Core Luminous. Most of the equipment on the Lancelot Conquista is simialr to it's progenitor. There is the duel Factspheres, four Slash Harkens with Harken Boosters, Blaze Luminous shields, and duel MVS swords. The added upgrades are the Haldron Blaster that is attached at the Float System and works by combing with the V.A.R.I.S. rifle, a Core Luminous Cone barrier, and the Yggdrasil Drive was upgraded with countermeasures against the Gefjun disruptor technology. While the Lancelot Conquista can still move under the effects of the disruptor. It is drastically slowed down.
During the second Black Rebellion to take Tokyo, it was the Lancelot Conquista that was chosen to carry the recently completed F.L.E.I.J.A. fission bomb onto the battlefield. It was during the fight against the newly appeared ninth-generation Knightmare the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. that the Lancelot Conquista was utterly defeated and sliced apart.

The Tristan Knightmare is the custom Frame that was created for the Knight of Three, Gino Weinberg of the Britannian Army. It is the second form of Frame that has the capability of transformation. It is able the transform into a jet form and this increases the mobility and speed, but in this form the offensive power is diminished with two mounted machine guns. In the base Frame mode, it has two Slash Harkens equipped with Harken Booters. As with on the Lancelot, this allows the Slash Harkens a degree of mobility in the air even after the initial launch. It is armed with twin MVS weapons in the form of pick-axes that can be combined together as a spear, called the MVS Polearm.
When the remainders of the Knights of the Round attempted to overthrow the reign of Emperor Lelouch, the Tristan was heavily damaged in the battle against the Lancelot Albion to the point of being completely incapacitated. It was retrieved by the Black Knights and repaired by Rakshata Chawla into the Tristan Divider.
Pilot: Gino Weinberg
The Tristan Divider is the repaired version of the custom Frame of Knight of Three, Gino Weinberg. After the original Tristan was severely damaged by the Lancelot Albion, the ruins were brought to the Black Knight's Knightmare Frame engineer, Rakshata Chawla. She used some of the Black Knight's technologies to make some minor improvements on the preexisting systems, but the Tristan lost it's jet transformation ability. The head mount was changed and given crimson decorations in place of the previous golden ones. It's Float System was replaced with a Black Knight's model as well.
The main armament was replaced from the MVS Polearm with the divided halves of the remaining Excalibur from the Galahad.
The Tristan Divider was one of the Knightmare Frames allied with the United Federation of Nations(UFN). Once more, the Tristan Divider was destroyed by the Lancelot Albion. Gino Weibberg was only able to activate the Float System to manage an escape.

The Mordred Knightmare is the custom Frame that was created for the Knight of Six, Anya Alstreim of the Britannian Army. The Mordred is unique in the fact that this Frame was not designed with enhanced mobility in mind. This is a floating armored fortress and it's speed capabilities shows this fact. The hulking Mordred was created with vastly superior superior armor than any Knightmare Frame before it. The mechanics of this Knightmare Frame also gives it vastly superior strength. Making it capable of crushing other lesser Frames in it's grasp. On top of this defense, the Mordred is equipped with a personal energy shielding with only a single weak point. The impressive defensive capabilities aside. The Mordred is also equipped with various offensive weapons as well. There are several missile ports built into the Frame at the chest, hips, arms, and legs. The most notable of the Mordred's arsenal is quad-barreled Haldron Cannons that are stored on the shoulders when not in use. When engaged, the cannon's halves comes together at the chest. This specialized cannon is called the Stark Haldron Cannon. While in the Haldron Cannon is in use, no other offensive weapons can be deployed. It is not armed with any Slash Harkens.
It's because of the emphasis put on offense, the Mordred is highly dependent on it's Float System for much of it's mobility.
During the battle against the forces of Emperor Lelouch, the Mordred was severely damaged by Jeremiah Gottwald in the Sutherland-Sig. Anya barely avoided death in this attack.

The Guren Flight-Enabled Knightmare is an upgraded version of the custom Knightmare Frame the Guren Mk-II that is piloted by Kallen Kozuki of the Black Knights. The designer and engineer is Rakshata Chawla. The initial Guren Mk-II was already one of the deadliest Knightmares of it's generation, but afterward the Float System was put into a higher level of application. This put the Black Knights at a distinct disadvantage. The Guren Flight-Enabled is the first purpose built Frame for the Black Knights to have a main component Float System. Now that Kallen Kozuki had an equal footing in maneuverability, she showed her superiority in the air as well as on land. This upgrade included a radiation shielding, a portable Gefjun Net disruptor, and an armor-piercing bombardment-type radiant wave surger arm. This had several enhancements over the previous two. Firstly, the limitation of close range was no more. The radiation surger was now capable of a long range beam that was just as deadly as when the Guren Mk-II had a victim in it's grasp. This same claw was also able to extend special emitters to allow for a wide range radiation wave. Though, since the radiation was being dispersed over a larger area. The most this could manage to do is immobilize all Knightmare's within it's area of effect.
The upgrade was a perils one, since it was done as the Guren Mk-II was plummeting to the ocean and was thought to be a lost cause. From the Black Knight's submarine, the first component was launched to meet the falling Guren Mk-II in air then the Float System was added. The second was an enhanced model of the radiation surger claw. Kallen returned to battle and was victorious against members of the Britannian royal guard and three members of the Knight of the Round.

The Shinkirou Knightmare is the custom Frame for Lelouch Lamperouge of the Black Knights in his role of Zero. It was designed and constructed by Rakshata Chawla using mush of what was learned from the ruins of the Gawain Knightmare Frame that was salvaged from the ocean floor. It's main color scheme is black with golden trim accents. The Float System is a base Black Knight's model, but the cockpit is one of the custom features unique to this model. It is a single-seat version of a sit upright type found in the Gawain. It has two forms of control. The first is a basic hand-held grips for movement, but they also retract for a keyboard system allowing the pilot to maintain key systems.
The Shinkirou uses the Druid System of the Gawain, and has an advanced shielding called the Absolute Defense Field. Through the use of highly complex calculations, Lelouch is able to maintain a impenetrable energy made of overlaying hexagonal shields. It's through the use of the Druid System that the Shinkirou can predict the trajectory of incoming fire and adjust the positioning of the shielding accordingly. This shield is strong enough to even hold back the power of the Stark Haldron Cannnon of the Mordred at point blank range. On a near equal footing with the Shinkirou's defensive capabilities are the offensive weapons. The main weapon of this Frame is the Structural Phase Transition Cannon mounted in the chest. It fires a high-frequency beam through a crystal mounted in the chest for a concentrated blast. It is also able to launch the focusing crystal out to the battlefield and will refract the beam into pinpoint lasers in various directions causing massive destruction. The offensive weapons can not be used while the defense field in active.

The Galahad Knightmare is the custom Frame that was created for the Knight of One, Bismarck Waldstein of the Britannian Army. The Galahad is a mostly offensive based Knightmare Frame that is over all twice the size of the average models. it has a light-lavender color with Black and golden accents in the armor. It's equipped with a person shield emitter. The main weapon of the Galahad is the enhanced KMF sword dubbed Excalibur. It is capable of slashing through armor and generates an energy field that allows it to disperse any energy blasts directed toward it. Due to it's sheer size and weight, the Excalibur is stored in a special sheath attached to the Galahad and has it's own Landspinner attached at the end. Despite the Galahad's massive size it is still capable of advanced movement due to it's refined Float System that is incorporated into the sheath for it's Excalibur KMF sword.
The Galahad is the only Knightmare Frame of the Britannian forces to have a four-wheeled Landspinner system. The Landspinners on this model Frame are much shorter than any other model and are not retractable. There are two wheels that are attached to each leg at both the inside and outside ankles. The Slash Harken of the Frame are built into the fingers and total ten.
In the first offensive against the rule of Emperor Lelouch, Bismarck in the Galahad led the remaining Knights of the Round in attack, but were met by Suzaku Kururugi in the Lancelot Albion. The Galahad was destroyed, and Gino Weidberg was the only survivor. The Galahad and it's Excalibur were both sliced in half.

The Percival Knightmare is the custom Frame that was created for the Knight of Ten, Luciano Bradley of the Britannian Army. This is a heavily offensive model of Knightmare Frame and was responsible for numerous enemy casualties during the conflict with the EU. The armor color is a lavender with golden accents and numerous purple pikes as decoration. It's bulk adds to it's slower movement. the Slash Harken are quipped at the shoulders and a larger one is mounted onto the head of the Percival. The claws on the right arm of the Percival are actually emitters that surround and rotate the arm and generator a Core Luminous Lance, similar to the Core Luminous Cone of the Lancelot Conquista. The rotating emitters allows the energy lance to drill through it's targets. The Frame does have a single defensive weapon as a KMF shield, but even this has heat seeker-missile launchers embedded within.
The Percival works in tandem with a special piloting team call the Valkyrie Squad. There are four members and each pilot a specialized version of the prototype Vincent that are called Grausam Valkyrie Squad Vincent. This squadron use their Slash Harken to immobilize a target. This allows Luciano to take his time in slowly ripping apart his victims.
During the second Black Rebellion, the Percival and it's pilot Luciano Bradley were disintegrated by Kallen Kozuki in the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N.
Pilot: Luciano Bradley
The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. is the custom Frame of Kallen Kozuki in the Black Knights, and later served as the powerhouse of the United Federation of Nations(UFN). It is a heavily modified version of the Guren Flight-Enabled, created by Raskshata Chawla. After Kallen Kozuki was captured, the Guren fell into the hands of the Britannian Empire and it was handed over to Lloyd Asplund and Cecile Croomy for examination of the powerful radiation systems and advancements. They would slowly heavily modify the the Guren into one of the most destructive and powerful Knightmare Frames ever to be conceived. The one and only mixture of the technologies of the Black Knights and Britannian Empire. Every component of the Guren was advanced. The singel chest-mounted Slash Harken was removed for two Slash Harken Boosters mounted on each shoulder, the basic KMF knife was replaced with a specialized MVS fork knife, and it was the first Knightmare Frame to be equipped with the prototype Energy Wing propulsion system, created by Cecile Croomy. This allows for an enhanced level of speed that could not be found in any Float System, and it is able to deploy energy-wing constructs that function as an offensive and defensive shielding system.
The Guren S.E.I.T.E.N.'s largest advancement was in the modifications to the radiation systems and the surger claw weaponry. It became the enhanced radiant wave surge unit called the "Fukusha Hadou Kikou". The claw is capable of a long-range radiation wave beam, and can create a radiation energy construct disc that can be thrown at the target. Originally, the Guren's claws were always mounted to the main Frame. This radiation claw was equipped with the same systems found in a Slash Harken Booster system. It can fire the radiation claw, manipulate it with the booster system, and retract it back. Even the radiation distribution system was boosted. The radiation claw would before cause an enemy Frame to explode. Now, it disintegrates it's targets into particle matter.
During the second Black Rebellion, Kallen Kozuki was rescued from prison and was able to steal back the Guren after all the advancements had been completed. In the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. Kallen was a major force on the battlefield and eliminated countless enemy units, killed Knight of Ten, Luciano Bradley, with his Valkyrie Squad, and defeated the Lancelot Conquista. It was severely damaged in the battle with the Lancelot Albion. It was recovered and repaired.
Pilot: Kallen Kozuki
The Lancelot Albion Knightmare is the second custom Frame made in the ninth-generation of development. It was created for the pilot Suzaku Kururugi in his role of Knight of Zero for Emperor Lelouch. The design and construction was done by the Camelot Team of Lloyd Asplund and Cecile Croomy. By taking what was learned and developed in the previous two Lancelots and creation of the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. they were able to refine much of the technology and create a truly powerful Knightmare Frame. The Float System was replaced with the Energy Wing propulsion system, created by Cecile Croomy. This allows for increased mobility to surpass any Float System. The wings created as energy constructs serve an offensive and defensive purpose. The Energy Wings of the Lancelot Albion have the added ability to fire energy pulses from the wings.
The additional armaments for the Lancelot Albion are the duel MVS swords, four Slash Harken, and two optional Super V.A.R.I.S. rifles.
It's first deployment was against the remaining members of the Knights of the Round that opposed Lelouch's rule as emperor. All the Knights of the Rounds were killed with the exception of Gino Weinberg. The battle with the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N. was heated and while both took severe damage. The Lancelot Albion was destroyed.

The Siegfried is not counted among the Knightmare Frames, but is classified as a Knight Giga Fortress. It was developed as part of the secret Code R project. No normal human can pilot the Siegfried since it requires a direct psychical connection to the body of the pilot. The first pilot was Jeremiah Gottwald after he had been healed and altered with cybernetic implants. A Float System in incorporated into the main mechanism, thus making this a flying fortess of impressive destructive power. The main armaments of the Siegfried are the seven Slash Harkens mounted over the main body. A build in energy shield system and heavy armor make this fortress incredible durable.
Through the interface system, the pilot is given an enhanced sense of reality that increased the pilots reflexes to avoid enemy fire.
The Siegfried first battled against the Gawain during the first Black Rebellion. While C.C. piloted, she used the Gawain thrusters to force them both deep into the ocean, and it was crushed by the depth of the sea. Bother C.C. and Jeremiah would survive, and the ruins of the Siegfried were salvaged. Some modification were were then made to the cockpit system to allow it to be piloted by V.V. This modified version was destroyed and components were used in the creation of the Sutherland Sig.
Pilot: Jeremiah Gottwald / V.V.
The Sutherland Sig is a modified version of the Knight Giga Fortress Siegfried. After the original Siegfried was destroyed. The components from the wreckage were salvaged and incorporated with a customized Sutherland to allow Jeremiah Gottwald to pilot is for the Black Knights. The armaments and improvements that were made to the Knight Giga Fortress was in much of it's offensive capabilities. Added were several missile launch tubes, and a hyper-velocity cannon, mounted on the bottom of the unit. The Float System was intact and refined to allow for impressive combat mobility.
During the combat with the UFN forces, much of the Sutherland Sig was destroyed by the Mordred, but Jeremiah survived in the remaining Sutherland segment and had victory in the battle.
Pilot: Jeremiah Gottwald
The Raikou is not a Knightmare, but a specialized super electromagnetic heavy-shot cannon that is constructed using the components of four Glasgow Knightmare Frames. It's a weapon that was mainly used by the Japan Liberation Front(JLF) and constructed by the Kyoto House. The cockpit is a modified sit upright model to allow two occupants. One to maneuver the cannon, and another to operate the cannon. Each round from the cannon is electromagnetically supercharged and fires from the cannon at high velocity. Packed inside each shell are dense ball barrings that shatter when fired and cause incredible damage in narrow quarters attacks. Linear cannons are also attached at the arm of each of the Glasgow bodies.
It was first used during the hostage situation at the hotel in Lake Kawaguchi. The forces of the JLF were led by Kusakabe. Another Raikou was also used by the Black Knights during the first Black Rebellion.
