Can you guess who my favorite video game character is? I’ll give you a hint, look at my user name!

I found this amazing piece of art on DeviantArt by Sajira called “Older Sora” [link]. The thing I liked the most was the costume redesign made to this already cool character (Right). I decided to use the design and draw Sora too.

I used a different anime style that resembles the Digimon franchise too make the character a lot cartoonier. I wanted to share this with you guys and also tell you that I have decided that I like this incarnation of Sora’s outfit that I decided to cosplay it someday. I got the original artist’s permission… I just need to learn how to do it!

Opinions?

I don't know if you guys know this, but I like to draw. A lot.
So the other day while I was on my way to Anime Conji last week I decided that it would be appropriate for me to draw something anime related. Problem was that my style i not much of an anime-type but more comic book-y. Then I remember that someone once called my drawings Disney-like, so I though I could start from there.

Here's what I came up with:

Kingdom Hearts Meets The Little Mermaid

AMVs are one just one of the many things that tie into the Anime/Manga J-Pop culture. For those of you who don't know, AMV stands for Anime Music Video. If you want to learn more about AMVs I suggest you go and watch Anime Vice's 3-Minute Expert on this.

I spend a lot of time in YouTube and stumble upon a lot of AMVs. Some of them are really horribly edited, others are great. So I decided to use my blog entries to periodically spotlight some.

It's no secret that I love Kingdom Hearts, so I am bound to spotlight a KH-related video first. If you have played the games then you might find this video just as heartwarming as I did. If you haven't played the games, then go play them after watching this video.

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep was reaeased in NA on September 7, 2010
Soooo i was wondering if anyone actually played/is playing it. And if so, what are ur thoughts and comments about it.

I'm currently playing it, but i'm not that far (i'm still playing as Terra). I'm taking long because i want to finish all of the reports so I can unlock the secret ending.

On other Whiskey Media sites I've been doing wrap ups of Movies I've watched and comic books I've read. Well here on Anime Vice I'm going to change it up a bit...
I am trying a lot to contribute to this site as much as I do to the others, but I don't watch as much anime as before, and most of my money goes on comics rather than Manga. So I decided to add it all up into a Blog post so you all can see what I've been up to Anime Vice-wise...

Kingdom Hearts Vol. 1

I read this manga originally a few years back, and when I was into the video game KH craze (believe me it was worse before) so I took this old manga out of my bookcase and re-read it, so then I thought about it and decided to review it here on the site. I found it funny that this time around as I read it I found that the adaptation was not as great as when I first read it, because I realized that the seriousness was taken away to an extreme.
So, be sure to read my review on this KH adaptation of My Favorite Video Game Adapted into a Comedy.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Season 1 Episode 2 - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I
FUNimation
This is one of my favorite anime series and I've watched every episode except The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie. Today I was bored and decided to watch the first episode (or the second rather... it's all very confusing) again. So, I reviewed it and ended with an "I'm Intrigued!" expression. Be sure to check out the Review!

 I regret it!

The Last Airbender (2010)
Cost: $5
Boy do I regret watching this movie! I am a huge fan of the Avatar: The Last Airbender series and like all of those who read the book then watch the movie, by the end you have some complaints. Well I had more complaints than the complaint box at Avon! M Night Shyamalan has lost his sense of movie-making completely. Not only that but I had to endure the movie with bad Dubbing into Spanish because there were no screenings in English! I will admit that the movie had great CGI scenes with all the elements but the whole movie's pace was so slow that even the climatic event of the movie was horribly dull for my taste. The acting was not bad at all but the story was horrible and did not follow the series for the exception of the first 10 minutes of the movie. I thought I was able to get past all of the things that were going to be changes and that I knew was going to be changed but in no way that was possible!

Bakuman: One of the Anime I am the most interested in for this Fall!
I don't know if you know this, but even us users of Anime VIce can submit an Article for the front page. Well I submitted one: 2010 Anime Fall Season Preview
I noticed that the site was in need of new material and stumbled upon the Anime Fall Preview somewhere on the internet. So I went on an anime hunt on the the internet through various anime -related sites and it took about 2 or 3 days to find images for every anime, a plot description for every anime and as many trailers as I could find.
I hope you've seen it and you have commented on it!
If not... what are you still doing here?!?!

Wiki Submissions

In the same manner that Kingdom Hears Re:Chain of Memories brought Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories from the Game Boy Advance to the Play Station 2 platform, KH Re:Coded is a remake of the NTT DoCoMo game for Nintendo DS in English.
During E3 2010 a trailer of the game was shown which today was made available to watch on the internet.

The plot of this game is based on the events that take place after KH2 following the story of Jiminy Cricket, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as they uncover a mystery found in the Jiminy's journal. Jiminy's curiosity about the line "Thank Naminé" in his journal results in him finding a message that he did not write: "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it".
By recreating a Sora clone out of data, they must figure out what the entry in the journal meant, which then means they must retrace their steps into uncovering this mystery in 8 different chapters of similar gameplay to that of the KH 358/2 Days game.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded will be released in North America, Europe and Japan on the Nintendo DS by the end of this year.

So what do you think?
Will you continue to see what's in store for the KH franchise?
