Kimi ni Todoke has easily been one of my favorite animes of the last year, and hearing that a live action version was about the best news I could imagine -- being the huge live action J-film fanatic that I am. We had seen a short trailer before, but when I spotted this new one over at Nippon Cinema I knew I had to share it asap, because it looks absolutely fantastic!
Starring Mikako Tabe and Haruma Miura in the main roles, the film is due out in Japan on September 25th of this year. We'll still have to wait a while before we'll get to see it (although I am more than assured some kind soul will fansub it once it makes it to DVD), but in the meantime we'll simply have to drool while watching the trailer over and over. I wonder how much of the manga's original storyline has been cut out to fit into a two hour timeframe. Are you as excited to see this as I am?
