Word on 2ch's streets is that Kimi ni Todoke, Karuho Shiina's romantic comedy manga about a young girl whose physical similarity to the lead character from Ringu results in her social leperhood (which is on hold while Shiina is on maternity leave), is getting an anime adaptation. Woot!
The anime is due out this fall, although no details on who's animating it are out. Odly, every time I hear about the story of this manga, I keep thinking about Wallflower. Maybe they should get Nabeshin to direct this show, too! (Even if the point is that the girl ISN'T as creepy as she looks this time around...)
