In the red light district, Leone transforms and carries Tatsumi as she prepares to pay off her debts. She sneaks into a brothel's attic. Below, a bunch of women are inhaling the purple vapor-like drug causing them to be happy. One of the girls succumbs to the over dosage. One of the men punches the girl while the other remarks they will replace her with women from the slums. This enrages Leone who knew the girl who was struck. Tatsumi and Leone crashes through the roof during the gang's meeting. They kill all the men easily. Leone grabs the leader by the neck who pleads for mercy. She delivers a fatal punch to the man's stomach. Afterwards, Tatsumi asks Leone what happens to the girls. Leone replies that the girls are not their responsibility, but she will talk to a doctor from the slums to take care of them. Tatsumi teases Leone for being soft and remarks that a tiny bit of hope is all that matters. Touched by Tatsumi's words, Leone licks Tatsumi's right ear to mark him. She tells Tatsumi if he grows up handsome, Tatsumi will be hers.

Elsewhere, Mine and Sheele run through the park only to ambushed by Seryu. Sheele notes that Seryu is unlike the Imperial Police they fought because Seryu masks her presence well. Seryu confirms her target, Sheele, and assumes Mine to be a member of the Night Raid. She smiles and looks eagerly to meet the Night Raid after waiting so patiently, and she vows to take her vengeance over her father and her mentor, Ogre's, deaths. Mine strikes only to hit Seryu's Coro's body. Seryu tries to keep her distance by blasting Mine and Sheele with her tonfa guns. Sheele slices through Coro only to see the monstrous beast regenerate the would on its neck. As Mine blasts Coro, she reminds Sheele about the weaknesses of organism-based Imperial Arms. Seryu orders Coro to sprout arms. While Sheele blocks Coro's barrage of fists with her giant scissors, Seryu blows a whistle to call in for back up. Using this moment, Mine blasts Coro with more power due to being in more danger. When the smoke envelopes Coro and blocks Seryu's vision, Sheele charges at Seryu who dropped her guard with a new move, Extase. Blinding Seryu with a bright light, Sheele quickly thrusts at Seryu who blocks the attack with her tonfa guns. Once Seryu stumbles, Sheele slices only to cut off Seryu's arms. Seryu willingly avoid the fatal blow in exchange for her arms. In the heat of the moment, Seryu fires from a hidden gun in her arms. Sheele blocks the bullet and slices off Seryu's guns. Facing a dire crisis, Seryu uses her last resort by ordering Coro to go into Berserker Mode.

Unleashing a deafening roar, Coro quickly grabs Mine and attempts to crush her bones. Sheele cuts off Coro's arms off to save Mine. Suddenly, Seryu snipes Sheele with a gun hidden in her throat. With a bullet wound to the chest, Sheele cannot move and gets her top torso ripped by Coro's jaws. Seryu smiles after having justice served. With a broken arm, Mine refuses to give up as Imperial Police forces arrive to the scene. Inside Coro's jaws, Sheele uses her last energy to blind everyone with Extase. She begs Mine to run away as she smiles to Mine. In her last moments of life, Sheele recalls her happy memories of finding her place in the world, being with Night Raid. She apologizes to Tatsumi for not being to hold him any longer. Coro consumes Sheele. Shortly after, the skies wept for Sheele's death. Seryu smiles that she defeated a villain and laughs about her victory, shocking the rest of her fellow comrades.

Arriving home, Mine delivers the sad news to her comrades who are in shocked over Sheele's death. Tatsumi asks Mine who killed Sheele. Najenda informs Tatsumi that he cannot attack without preparations. Bulat punches Tatsumi and yells at him to not lose control. He reminds him that anyone can die at anytime. Mine cries and vows to exact vengeance on Seryu. Najenda gives everyone a speech.

Below the starry skies and at his Ieyasu and Sayo's grave, Tatsumi feels Sheele's spirit hugging him one last time. At daybreak and outside of Imperial Capital, Esdeath arrives home.

Points of Interest

  • Coro is an organism-based Imperial Arms. Organism-based Imperial Arms have a core in their bodies which is their weakness.

Censorship

  • Crunchyroll's simulcast wasn't censored. Tokyo MX censored the gorey scenes.
