A Japanese composer known for his work in Mamoru Oshii's movies.

1957- . Born in Shinagawa, Tokyo, this composer is best known for his scores to the live-action Ring movies and in anime for his collaborations with Mamoru Oshii, notably Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor. Although not a member of the Headgear collective, he has often worked with them.
