Powerful wind mage that contracted the Wind God himself.
He a stubborn and quit young guy with some sarcastic sense of humor that has some problems expresing his emotions. Four years ago he was expelled from his family by his own father, Genma Kannagi, for not being able to control fire and defeat Ayano Kannagi, in the succession ceremony were the next family head was decided . During the time he was away from his home he traveled outside his country and meet a girl called Tsui Ling, he stayed with her and fall for her, he had finally found a place were he could love and be loved without the pressure of power that ones ruled his life. But due to unknown causes he got involved with the chairman of a powerful european mage organization, Bernhardt Rhodes president of Armagest, who captured Tsui Ling and used her as a sacrifice to bring back from hell an evil demon, whom was his true master. The demon fed himself with the soul and body of Tsui Ling and Kazuma, who went after Tsui Ling, couldnt do anything to avoid it, this caused a huge wound in his heart, and carving for revenge he contracted with the Wind God and destroyed the demon that killed his beloved one, but Bernhardt escaped. After those years he has returned to his home and now it is blamed for the death of some Kannagi family members. In order to clean his name and only after being payed by Jugo Kannagi, the Kannagi´s elder, he agrees to work alongside Ayano. Thats how both of them, with the aid of Kazuma´s younger brother Ren, start a series of adventures were they will have to learn to trust each other and will, eventually, fall in love.
