A young boy by the name of Kouta finds himself accidentally attached to a young, impulsive fox kitsune by the name of Chizuru Minamoto, who seeks to be with Kouta for the rest of her life.
Fresh from moving to the city from the mostly quiet countryside, teenager Kouta Oyamada transfers to the Kunpo High School to begin taking lessions as a first-year student. He is mostly shy, and tries to keep to himself, for he is still getting used to the new lifestyle that is living in the big city instead of with his grandfather out in the country. On his very first day attending Kunpo High, he crosses paths with a tall, beautiful girl by the name of Chizuru Minamoto, who seems to have taken interest in Kouta even though he does not now her. She delivers a love letter to him in the cafeteria, asking him to head up to the school's Music Room so that they can better get to know each other. He agrees to her request, and heads up afterschool to visit Chizuru in the empty Music Room, wondering what will happen when they meet.
