Chaozu (or Chiaotzu) is a small human with pale white skin, red cheeks and one red hair under his hat.

Goku is one of the last members of the Saiyan race, sent to Earth as a baby and raised among humans. As a powerful martial artist, he defends Earth against the aliens who come to destroy it.

Katas is the father of Kami/King Piccolo and the grandfather of Piccolo and King Piccolo's mutant offspring. He has only been seen in flashback and not much is known about him beyond that he sent his son (later sons) to Earth to save him/them from an ecological disaster on Namek.

King Yemma is a Dragon Ball Z character. He is large and somewhat comical. His crown is his viking helmet.

Korin is an immortal cat that lives at the top of Korin Tower below Kami's Lookout. He is the being that trained Roshi, and later trains Goku after his defeat to Tao Pai Pai. He continues to help Goku and his friends throughout the series by growing Senzu beans.

Assistant to the Guardian of the Earth.

Piccolo is a Namekian warrior on Earth and one of the Z-Fighters. Born from the Demon King Piccolo to kill Goku, he would join him as one of his strongest allies.

Trained by Master Roshi's rival, the Crane Hermit (Tsuru Senin). Tien Shinhan is widely known as the strongest human in Dragon Ball Z, though Akira Toriyama has stated he is a descendant of alien Tri-Cylops.

Yajirobe is an overweight and rude samurai.

Yamcha is one of the most powerful human warriors in the DBZ universe.
