Kaguya Sumeragi News

Kaguya Sumeragi is a anime/manga character in the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion franchise

Here is another of my Code Geass R2 4komas. This one is based upon the events that happened at the end of episode eight. Lelouch pulled a "I am Spartacus" moment and got all of his people out of Japan. (I guess you could also compare this moment to the scene in the movie V for Vendetta.

I wanted to show much of the characters in their costumes. I thought it was interesting that we never got a good look at Kallen's until they were already leaving. I decided to play with that and continue the run of jokes with C.C. teasing Kallen. If you have ever listened to the Audio Dramas that is pretty much the way the two behave together.

When  first posted this on my devArt page. There were a few people who couldn't figure out who everyone was. One of the worst was one person who couldn't figure out which one was Ougi. That seemed like a bad joke.

The basica idea for the joke is that C.C. switched out Kallen's costume. In all the fog she didn't realize what was wrong until the fog cleared. By then everyone is struggling to keep up the "I am Zero" act.

I'm ready to post another in my Code Geass R2 4 koma series. These two are both based upon episode seven. Lelouch was all depressed that Nunnally was now the Governor of Area 11. He felt that what he was doing was standing in the way of her dream.

About the jokes. These are two of my jokes that I often had to explain. That always bothered me. The usual lesson in comedy is that if you have to explain your joke. It's no longer funny.

The title of the first image was called Party of Four. It is a play on words with the joke. The setting is that Kaguya has gathered a meeting of who she believes is Zero's mistresses. Kaguya already believed herself to be Zero's wife. That's why she's wearing the arm band. The crutch of the joke is that C.C. is teasing Kallen yet again, but this time through the proxy of going along with her Three Court Ladies. It's why Kallen is so frustrated. Though it comes to a point where the oddly pure Kallen is confused as to what they are even talking about. A fun fact here. The scheduling that Kaguya comes up with is something I saw on the E! Network show called The Soup. I saw a clip of it when they were showing a scene from that dreadful program, The Girls Next Door. One of them was talking about how the three girls 'share' Hugh Hefner. This isn't exactly what was said. I just remember it being something along these lines.

Sooo many times I had to explain what Menage a Quatre means. It makes perfect sense to me. If trois means three and quatre means four. I just thought that the concept of Menage a Trois was far more acclimated into society. I didn't want to be so crass as to say a "4-way". I wanted to be a bit more subtle.

About the second image. This was fun to do. Though I really think I'm far better at drawing Lelouch now then I was when I made this image. I do like how Kallen looks in that last panel. I also had to explain this joke to quite a few people. I was really surprised how many people didn't know what insulin is and what it's used for. Sometimes I really worry about society.

Here is yet another in my line of Code Geass R2 4komas. This first one you see has Nunnally in it. I actually made this one after the second one you will see in this pose with Kallen. There was a break between certain episodes and I took advantage of that time to make something extra for episode six of the second season. It's another in my line of smacking Suzaku's character around. I mostly just wanted to draw this one, because I wanted the chance to draw Nunnally. She really looked pretty in that scene. I think this is one of my weakest jokes, but for some reason people seem to love it.

The second one is the 4koma I created based upon this episode. I really enjoyed drawing this one. It was this illustration is where I stopped drawing the character with more exaggerated body proportions. Now, if you don't know what a sybian is. I'm going to let you figure it out.

When I was first making these 4komas I was posting links to them on a variety of different message boards that might have something to do with the series. At the time the [adult swim] program was starting to show the first season of Code Geass. I had posted a few of these comics and had no problem. After I posted this one on that forum site it was removed by moderators. That's right, I was told this image was TOO HOT for the [adult swim] message boards. The moderator told me that the forums were for thirteen year olds and up, and that this image was too provocative for that age group. That's the funny thing. The programming [adult swim] shows is for at least seventeen and up. [ADULT swim]'s message board site is for thirteen year olds. They let people on the message boards to talk about shows they shouldn't be watching????  I thought that was pretty funny. These 4komas at one point get a lot more naughty.

It really doesn't matter anymore. I stopped watching [adult swim] completely after what they did, putting Code Geass only on at 5AM on Saturdays. The same for their forums.

I know Rakshata's name is spelled wrong. That's a typo from the subtitles I always saw on fan subs that I just never got around to fixing. I just need to switch the L for and R.
