The last battle of the second day pits Kagura, Mermaid Heel's strongest wizard against Yukino, a young Celestial Spirit Wizard on Sabertooth's side. They bet with their lives and Yukino threatens to make good on it when she opens the unknown 13th Gate!

Plot Summary

Natsu's group, Sting and the Exceeds, and the girls of Mermaid Heel all comment on Yukino's bet on wagering their lives given that the fact that Kagura is said to be the strongest wizard of Mermaid Heel. Yukino reveals her Gate Key for Pisces, and two large, long eels (black and white) attack Kagura. As Kagura jumps through the air to evade Pisces, Yukino opens the Gate of Scales to summon Libra. The crowd roars when their eyes fall upon this hot Celestial Spirit. Libra uses her powerful gravity to pin Kagura down, and Pisces smashes through Kagura. Yet, Kagura jumps high in the air. Yukino has Libra uses her gravity to send Kagura towards the statue. While Pisces dive towards Kagura, Kagura activates her magic. Both Pisces and Libra are pounded with immense gravity magic. With both of her Celestial Spirits incapacitated, Yukino decides to open the 13th gate. Lucy informs Wendy that the 13th key's Celestial Spirit is the strongest of all the Zodiac keys. Kagura charges at Yukino who summoned Ophiuchus, a giant, black, menacing serpent. Kagura unleashes a technique, Blade of Resentment, Archenemy, on the serpent and easily crushes it. The crowd is shocked at Kagura who defeats the Celestial Spirit without unsheathing her sword. Then, Kagura knocks out Yukino with the hilt of her sword. As Yukino sheds some tears, Kagura reminds Yukino that she owns her life.

After the judges go over the points earned so far for each teams, Jellal does not sense the magic he felt the previous years as he informs Erza. Along the way to the dinner party, Millianna reveals herself to Erza. The two ladies catch up things, and back at the inn, Bacchus has Natsu's group shouting "four" out loud. Before he leaves, Bacchus tells Natsu and his gang to give Elfman a message. Levy wakes up, and both her, Lucy, and Wendy are wondering about Yukino who has lost the bet. Rocker informs the Fairy Tail gang that Leon and Chelia has come for a visit.

Over at the Crocus Garden, the Sabertooth guild master, Gemma, gives a speech on what their guild stands for. Gemma gives Sting another chance, and in Yukino's case, Gemma throws some grapes at Yukino. He orders Yukino to throw everything away because Yukino's opponent has taken pity on her.
