What a lame first comment that was. A friend of mine's been trying to get me to watch the K-On fansub, but I'm just not ready to watch another slice-of-life high school girl comedy anime again. I've already finished Azumanga Daioh (twice, if you consider both the anime AND the manga) and Lucky Star.

Definitely goes toe to toe with Lucky Star for the king of slice of life. But it really is a show about nothing, there is no plot here. It is 4 (then 5) moeblobs acting cute in high school and playing in a band. So keep that in mind.

I don't know how the VA for Noel Vermillion is going to pull off a Mio. And I'm not curious enough to find out.
I enjoyed this series subbed, it may have took me a couple of months to finish. Twas a show I had to watch in small doses, but the music is awesome. I was a fan. Only wish it had more music scenes in the actual show.

I know K-On is dumb. I won't deny that, but I still somehow watched both seasons and liked it. I don't know why. I guess I just found something charming about it. I've heard that this trailer isn't a good representation of the dub and that it's better than what is displayed here, but I think I'll hold off a while before I buy the blu-rays.

"This is pretty much how I feel, I find myself sometimes watching it and going "well that seems unlikely" but I have watched both seasons and I do love it. Just charms the pants off me, and the humour makes me smile.
Although after having spent all that time with the fansubs and the Japanese VA's, I doubt I could watch the dub at this point. If I hadn't already watched it I'm sure I'd be fine with it, I'm not one of those guys who refuses to watch dubs, but I'm too far gone at this point.

Not sure I can deal with the dub though, I'm normally fine watching dubbed anime, but after watching 2 series of the fansubs it'd drive me crazy by this point.
