So I guess this whole K-ON! thing is kind of big. Kind of. And what I actually mean by that is that you can see Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi and Yui on pretty much every piece of merchandise you can humanly imagine from a coffee cup to a toothbrush. It's a big deal in Japan. And today we actually discovered that they've gone past collectibles to something even more gargantuan: their faces will grace the Japan National Census in Kyoto Prefecture. Whoa.
We discovered this news on the official K-ON! website, which also points out that there's a Denny's campaign going where you can score K-ON! themed desserts as well as a crossover with Ohmi railways to sell K-ON! themed tickets. Just ... wow. I wonder if K-ON! condoms exist yet? I can see the slogan now: "You can bone your girlfriend with your choice of Ritsu, Mio, Yui or Tsumugi. ..."
