1955- . Born in Saga Prefecture, Nishimura graduated in sociology from Meiji Gakuin University in 1980. At the studio Nishiko Pro, he learned animation from director Kazuyuki Hirokawa, working as a key animator on shows such as Urusei Yatsura. He became the supervising director on Progolfer Saru and oversaw the video adaptation of Shutendoji.
