Creation
Joker is created by Quin Rose and illustrated by Soumei Hoshino. Unlike most characters in Alice in the Country of Hearts series, Joker is not based on a character from Lewis Carrol's work, Alice in Wonderland. He has no information regarding any inspiration used to create him. He first appears in volume 4 of Alice in the Country of Hearts and in the movie adaptation. His Japanese voice actor is Akira Ishida.
