A subspecies of the common vampire. Unlike regular vampires, they can walk in daylight and have a pulse. They also have enhanced abilities. When they drink human blood, they are at their full strength.
They are not actual werewolves as the name might suggest. Sunako, the leader of the Shiki (vampires) came up with the name because vampires in fiction usually have werewolves beside them too. Thus, she referred to special Shiki as "Jinrou" (werewolf).
People who turned into a Jinrou also never really died after the fatal bite from another vampire. They merely changed.
