Jeremiah is a Britannian soldier who is thought to be a spy for the Black Knights after being framed by Zero. Thus, he develops an extreme hatred towards Zero for ruining his reputation and career. The name Zero used to refer to him is "Orange-kun," and Jeremiah subsequently reacts violently every time anyone refers to him as thus.
After losing in battle to Kallen Kouzuki and the Guren Mk-II, Jeremiah is presumed dead. However, he is picked up by Geass researchers under V.V.'s command and enhanced with the anti-Geass. He pursues Zero to exact his revenge but is held off by C.C. in the Gawain who plunges the both of them into the ocean.
In Code Geass's second season, Jeremiah inadverdantly reawakens Shirley Fenette's memories of Lelouch's identity. He seeks out the revived Zero, whom he now knows to be Lelouch vi Britannia. Lelouch immobilizes him however, and it is then that Jeremiah confesses his loyalties to the late Lady Marianne and his guilt for failing to protect her on the day of her assassination. His loyalties are thusly transferred to her son Lelouch who accepts him as an ally. Jeremiah then fights alongside Zero until the very end.
At the conclusion of R2, Jeremiah is shown having abandoned his military duties. Along with Anya, he appears to be working on an orange farm. Apparently, being "Orange-kun" doesn't bother him so much anymore.
