Jean Grey

Origin

Jean Grey had wonderful parents, Professor John Grey and Elain Grey, and she had a pretty normal childhood up until one day whe her friend Annie Richardson was struck by an automobile. This was a very traumatic experience for Jean and this is when her powers became known to her, and she couldn't keep them under control. She then went on into isolation to protect those around her. When she was 11 she went to a therapist that suggested her parents contact Charles Xavier. When they did, he told them that Jean was indeed a mutant.

Creation

Jean Grey was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and made her first appearence as Marvel Girl in X-Men # 1 in 1963.

Powers and Abilities

Telepathy :

Jean has massive telepathic abilities. she is considered to be one of the most powerful if not the most powerful telepath in the Marvel Universe. Even without the Phoenix Force backing her Jean herself is a very powerful telepath. She is not the Phoenix Force itself, only its avatar, or shell. Basically a body that can give it morals and a physical shape. Jean was even named to be very powerful by Charles Xavier, one of the top telepaths in the Marvel Universe.
