New HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR album “swamp man” available on JapanFiles
 

August 12, 2009 – JapanFiles continues its partnership with Spice Records with the release of HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR's new album “swamp man.”
 
The Japanese rock band's new CD goes on sale in Japan on September 2, but JapanFiles has the early digital release available today for J-Rock fans worldwide.
 
With song contributions to three hit anime series (Bleach, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: Special Edition, Darker Than Black), the band has returned to their original label Spice Records to start over with a heavier sound and new vocalist HALCA.

July 15, 2009 – JapanFiles celebrates its 5th anniversary this week by announcing a partnership with Japanese music distribution/sales/rights agency BounDEE, Inc.

JapanFiles and BounDEE will work together in the coming months to expand the catalog of independent artists available to Japanese music fans through the JapanFiles.com digital music website.

BESPA KUMAMERO new release "PLASTIC CONFUSION" plus Anime Boston recap

May 27, 2009 - Japanese indie techno performance unit BESPA KUMAMERO performed at Anime Boston on May 23, 2009 to a standing-room-only crowd of 1500 at the event's annual all-night dance event.

Anime Boston marks the duo's 5th overseas event, following appearances in Houston, TX (Anime Matsuri), London, UK (It Came From Japan), Moscow, Russia (Tokyo Cyber Eve), and Monterrey, Mexico (Animex).

BESPA KUMAMERO played songs from their new CD "PLASTIC CONFUSION" and their USA CD release "Romantic Waves." Complete set list and event photos can be found on the JapanFiles.com Anime Boston spotlight page.

LM.C contest for fans at A-Kon, plus new single PUNKY HEART and comment video!


May 20, 2009 - LM.C's new single “PUNKY HEART” is now available for download at JapanFiles.com.

The single includes “DAYS,” the opening theme for the Nintendo DS game “KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN! DS Fate of Heat II - Unmei no Futari.” It is the very first time for the Nintendo DS “REBORN!” series to use an opening theme song only for the game. This song “DAYS” has been especially made for the game based on the story and concept of the game.

LM.C recently canceled their appearance at A-Kon 20, scheduled for May 29-31, 2009. LM.C has made a special comment video for American fans, and they want to say a special "Thank you" to the fans at A-Kon 2009 for all their support.

To celebrate the release of their new single "PUNKY HEART," JapanFiles.com is running a special photo contest just for fans at A-Kon, with autographed prizes and winners picked by maya and Aiji!

Morning Musume “Shouganai Yumeoibito” hits Number One on Oricon Weekly Singles Chart

May 21, 2009 – Morning Musume's new single “Shouganai Yumeoibito” has hit #1 on Japan's weekly Oricon Singles Chart. This marks the first time the all-girl pop group has hit the top spot in 2-and-1/2 years.

Thank you very much for your support all the time. We received #1 on our 39th single "Shoganai Yumeoibito", released on 5/13. When we first heard about it, everybody jumped!”

Morning Musume。 x MySpace worldwide OPV (Original Promotion Video) Contest

May 15, 2009 - Morning Musume。 has announced a new contest in cooperation with MySpace.com where fans can create an Original Promotion Video using special footage provided by the artists. Winners will be chosen by Morning Musume。 and the group's producer Tsunku ♂, and announced onstage at the group's performance at Anime Expo 2009.

 May 6, 2009 - JapanFiles.com announces an ongoing partnership with Japanese game studio NITROPLUS, producers of such titles as PHANTOM OF INFERNO, DEUS MACHINA DEMONBANE, SONG OF SAYA, TOGAINU NO CHI (True Blood), "Hello, world." and the recent hit STAR MINE GIRL (SUMAGA).

NITROPLUS celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2009, having established a solid reputation with gaming fans worldwide for quality storylines and professional-level soundtracks for its games on PC, XBOX 360, and PS2 platforms.
