If you feel the righteous urge to give those aliens their comeuppance, you’ll be relieved (or baffled) to know that the best way to do it is through a pachislot machine, the science-defying amalgamation of pachinko and a slot machine.
This particular video is the trailer for Uchu Senkan Yamatao-licensed edition of said pachislot machine. Namco Bandi/Yamata reasoned, however, that an animated spot might not be nearly enough to raise the roof and get the excitement up, so they had a half-dozen ladies dressed up as STAR BLAZERS’ Yamato crew do the announcing. Call me crazy, but I think it might’ve got the release a little more attention.
I suck at games of chance. I know that doesn’t make mathematical sense, but it’s true. If it takes talent to have good luck with gambling, I don’t have it. I’m bad at slots and horrible at Pachinko, so I’d just be doubly awful with pachislot. But I know, for a fact, that you in the Anime Vice community are a lucky breed. So would you up for this if it showed up at the casino on your corner? Would you be raking in the dough (or the yen?)
