I may not be the most well-rounded nerd out there-- anything outside of anime and I'm really little more than a dabbler --but I have a great nostalgia for Star Wars (the originals, also known as "the ones that didn't suck"). And I'm also a huge fan of merchandise that I can use in my daily life. So is it any wonder that I sat there cooing and "aww"-ing for about ten minutes after I saw these?

It's a series of Star Wars USB hubs ("they really work!"), including an R2D2 and an R2-Q5 ("dark" R2), as well as a Darth Vader one that is about a million times less cool. The R2 units have eyes that light up and their little "heads" move, too. D'awwww!
Unfortunately, these are a Japan exclusive, and at ¥7140-- a little over $75 USD --plus shipping, I was doubting that I'd get my hands on one, but then I decided to glance on eBay and there are cheaper 2-port versions available for about $40. They don't light up or move, but they beep when you plug stuff in. Heeheehee.

I am such a dork-- I never even need a hub. Who's with me?
