The episode opens in California in 1930, where Isaac Dian and Miria Harvent try digging for gold inside a cave and spend several months getting each other's spirits up despite not finding anything. Eventually they recieve a letter from a friend named Ennis who talks about the two of them being the closest she has to family since being "created" without any siblings. Isaac and Miria ponder the wording, then conclude Ennis wants them to make a baby brother or sister for her. However, since they aren't her real parents, they decide to do the next best thing: steal money from the mob, catch a train to New York, and buy Ennis a present with their loot.
At the station, an old woman makes a cryptic message about the train called the Flying Pussyfoot, while Isaac and Miria plan to board it with their stolen cash. The main cast of characters slowly assembles: A bunch of folks in black suits who claim to be holding "delicate instruments", several men in white suits led by a man who seems excited about killing someone, a scared young man with an odd tattoo on his face, and more. Other scenes demonstrate some sort of special cargo that a US Senator is transporting, along with his wife and daughter who happen to be on the train. Jacuzzi and Nice think it's a brand new bomb, and discuss their plan to steal it while sitting in the dining car of the train, then Nice pushes Jacuzzi towards Isaac and Miria and tries to make them have a conversation with each other.
Among the topics discussed are how eating a steak is just like eating vegetables because the cow slaughtered for steak ate some grass. Then the topic switches to the myth of the "Rail Tracer," a monster who chases after trains and makes people disappear. At the head of the train, one of the conductors pulls a gun on his coworker, and continues the same story that Isaac and Miria are telling the others. The episode ends with a gunshot.
