Ial is a character from the The Beast Player franchise.
Ial is a member of the Sezan and is loyal to the royal family. He meets Erin when she is a young girl and gives her the harp that becomes critical for her Ohju training later in the series. While unable to save the queen, Ial uncovers Damiya's plans and is able to foil his assassination attempt on Princess Seimiyah. Ial falls in love with Erin when he meets her as an adult and it is implied that the two of them have a child, Jesh, by the end of the series.
