The Hyuga Clan are a bloodline of individuals in the Naruto franchise who all posses the Byakugan.
The clan is divided into two groups, main house and branch house, with one comprising the leadership of the clan and the other services as protectors of the clan. The branch members are branded with a curse seal on their forehead from a young age which serves to:
- visibly differentiate them from the main house
- removes any genetic secrets that may be in their body upon death
- can cause great pain or death at the behest of a main house member
