Welcome everyone! This used to be called Quick Picks because my teammates and I used to do this together. We would pick some DVDs and Blu Rays that we were interested in just to promote a certain franchise.

This week, we have Sentai Filmworks and its two beautiful series. These will make great Christmas gifts if your friend, co-worker, or family member love the romance anime series, give Say I Love You anime series a try. If they love cute, satirical, comedic anime series, try the Humanity Has Declined anime. Merry Christmas everyone!

For years, declining birth rates have forced what's left of the human race to cede more and more territory to other beings who have appeared to take advantage of the emptying ecological niche. Now, only a handful of humans remain among the remnants of civilization and Earth is dominated by faeries - tiny, ten-inch tall creatures of surprising intelligence. But humanity's importance isn't over quite yet, as young Watashi learns as she makes the decision to return to her hometown and assume her grandfather's position as an arbitrator between the races. Unfortunately, the job isn't going to be anywhere near as simple as she expected, and it's going to take wisdom far beyond her years to achieve her most important mission. It's not about how often you fall and fail, it's about how often you get back up and try again, and the human race still has a lot left to accomplish.

Friends suck, and trusting someone is just setting yourself up. That's the lesson Mei Tachibana learned after her heart was ripped out and only a shell was left where a girl used to be. But unlike so many, she found an easy solution: she'll never make another friend. Ever. Okay, maybe that's not as easy as it sounds, but it's worked for Mei - or at least, it did until handsome, charming and annoyingly popular Yamato Kurosawa came along. For some freakish reason, he seems to like Mei. He even gave her his phone number! As if she would ever call him. Except she did. But only because she needed help. Still, he came. He actually came. And now things are getting way too complicated. Mei's no princess in a tower. She's not waiting for a knight in shining armor to rescue her. So why did he have to kiss her and confuse everything? And why are those three little words so hard to say?

There was an official "most moe" character of the year poll that's been going on in an site called Saimoe that went annual since starting out as a thread in an random 2Channel thread (an Japanese version of 4Chan as presumed) and boy, was it crazy this time. Many characters were entered, but at the top 16, there were some real contenders. Here were the semifinalists and finalist...

Semi-Finalist #2: Kyouko Sakura (Madoka Magica)

Semi-Finalist #1: Humanity Has Declined&squot;s Mediator (Entered as "Main Character" in the poll)

Most Moe Character of 2013: Madoka Kaname (Madoka Magica)
Most Moe Character of 2013: Madoka Kaname (Madoka Magica)

Here were the other contestants from the poll and the bracket results:

Most of the Madoka Magica Main Characters ended up in the Top 16 along with some others from more recent anime series and movies, with best friends Madoka and Sayaka having to face each other in the finals after Kyouko and The Mediator were eliminated in the semi-finals. Hopefully next year becomes even crazier, even though this is the craziest that the polls have ever been.

Hello everyone, BigHeart711 and I finished Humanity Has Declined anime wiki project which includes only the episode plot summaries. We first made a team in July 2, 2012, and on September 18, 2012, we finished the 12th episode. 12 weeks has gone quickly, and this series is a beautiful piece of satire and cute fairies.

Teammates

BigHeart711
BigHeart711

BigHeart711 is a great guy who I worked with. His weekly reports are funny and sincere. Even though we're busy with school, we managed to pull through and finish the wiki and weekly coverage for the anime series.

Supports

FoxxFireArt and Daniel Newton helped us with the pages when we were unsure about the Japanese names or formatting.

Unique Struggle for the Wiki

What's bizarre about this show is that the characters don't have real names, and we're not sure which is the official name. For example, Mediator is called Watashi or Sweet Girl.

Synopsis

For those who are new to Humanity Has Declined:

Humanity Has Declined is an anime series that revolves around fairies, created by Romeo Tanaka with character design by Sunaho Tobe and Toru Yamasaki. The anime series is produced by AIC A.S.T.A. and directed by Seiji Kishi.

In Camphorwood Village, the Mediator comes to her home village, and she works with the UN. She helps her village to overcome their obstacle, famine. It turns out that humanity is losing their source of food while Fairies are not having trouble. Strange things occur when food and skinned chicken mysteriously appear in the village. They bear the FairyCo brand, so the Mediator, her assistant, and Grandpa (Village Leader) head out to investigate FairyCo.

Afterwards, the series covers Mediator's adventures with the fairies in odd situations.

Next Steps

My teammate and I are planning to do a final impression blog and other cool blogs.

  • Final Impression Blog
  • Humanity Has Declined Weekly Report Archive
  • Wuvable Fairies of Humanity Has Declined - It's a secret, so I can't tell you.
  • Beginner Guide - I wished to make one right away, but I have to wait because like Sotyfan16 told me, these new series might have a dub or a movie adaptation.

Please enjoy the cool opening song that I look forward to watching it every episode. Usually, I skip openings for wiki work, but this opening makes me smile.

Episodes

I was in charge of episodes while BigHeart711 was in charge of weekly reports. Daniel helps us with formatting and character names. The synopsis are from Crunchyroll.
