             As Maylene and Finny complain about not celebrating Ciel's birthday the next day,  Elizabeth comes in a carriage. After giving Ciel a present, she notices that Sebastian fixed Ciel's ring. She takes the present back and promptly leaves. Ciel reminises about past birthdays. On his birthday, the previous Phantomhive mansion was burned up along with his parents.

           Elizabeth and Paula are in a carriage and the present was going to give Ciel is opened to show a ring similar to Ciel's ring. leaves the unmoving carraige after hearing a musica box from a mysterious man. She sees a doll in a store's window and enters the store. The supposed store owner comforts her as she tells him about her woes in making Ciel happy. The man ominously says that since Ciel is an important person, the only thing that can be given to him is Elizabeth herself.

            Ciel receives a phone call from Paula saying that Elizabeth is missing. Sebastian tells Ciel about a new task the Queen order, He explains that Scotland Yard is still investigating crimes related to kidnapped girls. The kidnapper would give a girl the Fragment of Hope (where the owner would have a horrible fate if they possessed the Fragment of Hope). Sebastian gives him a letter from the Queen about his case. During their carriage ride, Ciel tells Sebastian to make a list of the suspects with relationships between the victims within three hours; Sebastian leaves the moving carriage.

            Grell is seen jumping around rooftops and meets with Ciel on foot. Pluto runs away as Ciel follows and he notices a shop front with a doll that looks like . Ciel offers Grell a day to do anything with Sebastian in exchange for protection. They enter a mansion and see a doll that has the Ring of Hope.  

Ciel notices that the doll looks like one of the missing girls. The doll starts strangling Ciel but is stopped by Grell with his death scythe of scissors. The store front owner/puppeteer comes in and sings a melody to the tone of "My Fair Lady" that calls upon other dolls that are the other missing girls. Ciel runs upstairs looking for Elizabeth.  

The puppeteer there says Ciel deserves the best by using gold and silver. Ciel runs into a room with masks saying a similar melody to the tone of "My Fair Lady." Ciel enters a room and sees Sebastian at the windowsill. Sebastian wonders if Ciel will ever have another happy birthday again because the mansion and his parents were gone while might be lost forever too.
